Friends Of Carol Part 1

HI:D well im nearly all packed for my week at the van, my leg is better than i thought it would be this morning, managed to wak the dog anyway. Its still painful and stiff, but hey we woman know how to handle pain;)

Nice to see yuo popping in more Luv, Hope make sure you stay around for a long time ,, theres probs a million more question you could ask:wah: Carol, hope you get back before i go ,, i will probs text or ring you anyway:-4

Yahooooooooooooooo Big Brother ended tonight and the 53 yr old lady won. Go the oldies :yh_party:yh_party:yh_party

On a more serious note.....rang my sister tonight and my BIL is now in Pallitive care:-1 I am hoping he hangs out till I get there on Saturday:(

Thnaks,, ans also thanks carol for askin about me dad,, heard no word if he is coming out today so far,, gonna ring me mam soon see if she has heard owt,,, doc might not have seen him yet dunno.. anyway he seemed to be getting back to what he was before this last stroke, so hopefully they will let him out, we keeping our fingers crossed:D

Good morning all. Yesterday afternoon hubby & I were sitting on our deck and out of nowhere we see this huge spiderweb go across the yard. It had come out of some tree branches. It was incredible.

Cr*p, daughter is coming home for the day so I will have to "actually" do some housework today.

I prefer to do housework later in the day when everybody has gone out and the bigger kids are awake. Yeah, I make them clean the bathroom:wah:

Good morning ladies. :-6 Wanted to stop by to say hello before I start the day's tasks.

Thanks to all of you for your warm welcomes. It has made me feel right at home here. I missed saying "Bye" to Kaz also. She's so nice! I hope she has a great vacation.

In case you are interested, I've posted a really good couple of videos from "Britain's Got Talent" in the Pets and Animals forum entitled, "This dog is incredible!" It's reallly worth watching if you have the time, IMHO.

By the way, I can't remember if it was here or not...someone asked me if the President himself signs the birthday cards sent out from the White House. It is actually a rubber stamp of his signature, I found out from my father.

I can believe that! I'm a bit concerned about my father, who is going to be 97 tomorrow. He's been absolutely LIVING with the a/c going. Also, I hope the a/c doesn't give out at the Assisted Living place where my 87 year old mother lives!

It's been bad but I haven't heard of any brownouts yet. If it doesn't let up soon I think we will be seeing them.

We had a brownout for 1 1/2 hours a couple of nights ago. Lucikly it only lasted that long!! I still haven't heard the cause, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was from everyone running the a/c!

And I've worked it out that a 'brownout' must be a power cut, caused by over use of electricity with a/c (air conditioning), which has over loaded the system ! If that is so, why the hell is it called a 'brown out' ffs ? Why not a 'power out' or a 'power cut' like they have in the UK ? Or am I barking up the wrong tree and it means something entirely different, like somebody cr---ing themselves cos they aint got no electricity !
