i apologize to Minks, whose idea this was, i just can't find the thread...it's the one-year anniversary of FG and we have developed quite a cohesive community here! i would like to say congrats to admin, Anastrophe and Tombstone, and thankyou as well! and especially thanks to all the people who have made FG so diverse and interesting! it's funny, it's political, it's informative, and i have to say i am so gratified to have a place to pass on Amber Alerts and crime info, my passion. this board reaches many people! what are your feelings about what FG brings to you?

Happy Birthday!!!

I had no idea the FG was so young. I’ve been here most of its existence and didn’t realize it.

It has taken on its own personality and I like it. The people here are great as evidenced by the fact you continue to put up with me. This is a great place.

Absolutely cool Lady Cop and I agree with you. Thanks for the post.:-6

Boy, that came up on me fast!! Didn't see it coming!

FG is only the second board I've ever been on and I really like it. The

variety of things to "talk" about and the variety of people... well, MOST

of the people... I enjoy it.

Happy Birthday, Garden!

No apology needed LC, I had received the suggestion from Spot and thought the 29th was the anniversary of the first post and figured we all ought to put a greeting in at the pub any time on the 29th but if today is the actual birth date of FG then wahoooooo Happy Big One Birthday and may we grow to see many more and perhaps one day have a meeting of the members in real time.

Enough said party on!!

Wish I could take credit for it Clint. I go to a site that has a thread called "share your favorite gif images". I'm a gif addict now.

Since coming into the Garden i have seen many people,

from many parts of the world, from all walks of life, drift in and out.

I've met some good, some bad, and some just downright ugly!

I know i can rely on the Garden to cheer me up if i'm feeling a little low,

to let me rant if i have a beef, to just let me be me.

To the Admin who do a fantastic job keeping this community going at great cost to themselves,

I salute you x.

To all the members who i now consider as friends thankyou x.

Last winter... FG helped me deal with a lonely transition down to Georgia. Ill always remember those early morning hours spent at the computer. It was enlightening and thrilling to speak to people from all over our world. Thank You Forum Garden. Happy Birthday and Best wishes for your continued success.

Happy Birthday to the Garden!!

Thanks to everyone here, for the advice and reassurance that I deserved better, I came on here in tough times, asked for advice and got what I needed to help me start afresh.

Now I can visit in my lonely times, the evenings when the children are tucked up and sleeping and feel like I have company!

Only a year? I guess I've been here since pretty much the beginning too. How incredibly odd.

After all that time, I still haven't figured out where Abbey gets those amazing pics.

Not only is admin doing a fabulous job, everyone as a team seems to be putting out a grand effort to make this a most pleasing place to come and hang out. Pat yourselves on the back all of you and say job well done, it is really quite an amazing feat to gather a bunch of random folks into one place and make friends. Sure we have had a controversial few, a spammer, a scammer and flamer here and there, but with the efforts of our good members we have managed to keep the FG respectible and fun while being informative and challenging. CHEERS GANG we are great.

And Happy BD to us all in sharing the first year of Forum Garden.

I checked a bunch of forums out before I landed here, I can't remember now if it was a 'conspiracy theory' search or a 'religious discussion' search I did??? doesn't matter now... what I found was a place to belong and you folks make me want to come here, no where else have I found the kind of people I want to hang around with, but here.

Each place I go to there's what I call the 20% factor... thats the 20% of the folks there I actually like and enjoy talking to, it usually does not get much higher than that.

Here I enjoy an unprecedented 99.9% factor! (sorry, there are the occasional sonics that drive me crazy)

Thanks everyone!

OK memory test, the song "thank you for being a friend" I think that ought to be our theme song for FG but..... just who sang that.... Oh Jives do you know??

As others have said, I found FG when I was confused, stressed, even scared, & needed some friendly advise, and experiences of others. My FG family has certainly made it the place to come, it's a mind saver for myself & I'm sure many others as well!! Wishing FG continued success for years to come!! :-6
