So here I am

Post by koan »

I've never participated in any internet forums or chats so I'm a little nervous. Don't know why. There are so many things to talk about but the chat rooms were so full of nonsense I dreaded even trying to start. Thankfully, here is a place called introductions and I guess it starts from this.

Originally, I thought of connecting to see if anyone knew alternative therapies for sciatica which is why I'm stuck on the computer for more than the usual amount of time. If anyone does have any success stories, please share!

Outside of that issue, I am a 34 yr old female construction worker who is built like a waif. I get a huge kick out of working in a male dominated profession and my favourite moments are when I intellectually resolve a problem that a musclehead is unsuccessfully trying to beat into a solution.

Oddly enough I just left the film industry where I was a makeup artist for ten years. I find the skills transfer quite well. In theory, anyway.

I am also a metaphysical practitioner. Metaphysics are very interesting in theory but entirely a waste of time unless you practice.

I am looking forward to joining discussions and hope I can fit in with at least some of the other people on this planet.

It's only words...

Google? AFAIK the conventional remedies are massage, anti-inflammatories, surgery.

So reversing that, these "muscleheads" could work as hairdressers or make-up

artists!!! I should be very interested to hear their opinions!

Welcome koan. When you can fit in a construction company full of muscleheads then this forum is a very soft place. Here are no muscleheads. Pick up any thread and join discussions.

That's what I came to realize. Although, I tend to hold words in high esteem.

I'm doing chiropractic, accupressure and Robaxacet but was hoping for some good yoga poses that will help prevent it from happening again.

Absolutely, it can be reversed. The "musclehead" who got me into construction actually wanted me to teach him makeup artistry. The problem with that was not his ability but his temperment not being well suited to the film industry. "Musclehead" being an offensive term, is not meant to describe the construction worker in general, I have used it with certain, specific people in mind. I have heard many of their opinions and they are more amusing than interesting...which is why I am here.

Thank you for your response.

I feel ya, Koan. It's why I'm here as well. I've really enjoyed reading the thoughts of people on this board. I hope you do, too.
