Do you like your name??

Well my first name is OK. But I could have killed my dad for my middle name. EEEEK!!!! my daughter told me she likes her name. when i told her my other choices. she told me thank God i changed my mind.:wah:

I wish I had been named after my father or grandfather. I learned the importance too late and didn't name my children after anyone in the family.

I hated my first name growing up as it was so different and butchered by everyone, now I can handle it. Now my middle name is a different story. When I tell people what it is the bust out laughing and I don't blame them. I don't use it any more. :wah::wah:

As a kid I wasn't crazy about my first name because it was "just" Terri and not something fancier like Teresa. In junior high I changed it to Tressa but thankfully no one calls me that anymore. My parents just really liked the name Terri. My middle name is Louise which is my grandmother's middle name as well. During different times in my life I've gone by that and some of my friends still call me Louise. I think it's pretty nice and I have grown to love my name.

With my Mother re- marrying - I prayed for a simple last name - Please..

NO - always hated all my last names

I married the first 1 sylable word man walking.

My first name never bothered me - since the last names was always a disaster.

the older I get - the more I dislike the first name

who wants to be cute at 50 ??? I don't like names ending in Y like whee !!

Elizabeth - Michelle ??

i always loved that my first name Rhonda is from a song, and my middle name Michelle, is from my parternal grandmother whose ancestry is French, i always liked the way it sounded!

I didnt like it when I was younger because I didnt know anyone else with my name and my best friend was called Mandy and Barry Manilow sang about her...Nobody sang about me:-1.....I used to sign cards Tammi up till I was about 9 or 10...My maiden name was also a christian name and people would get confused and call me that which I hated..Once I got to high school I met a few more "Cheryl's and my name never bothered me then. Mum used to get infuriated when people called me Sheryl and said it shhhh instead of Chhhh....Mums eh!

My names always been shortened, Chez, Chiggs or Chezzie or Chezzer and sometimes Chezzie Babe:-4

Well, they sang my name when I was teen. I had to listen to A Boy Named Sue. :-1

But I liked when they sang CCRs Susie-Q.................

I do not mind now, but miss my grandmother being gone, she still called me Susie.....

I hated my first and middle names when I was growing up. As I've gotten older, my first name doesn't bother me so much anymore...but I still HATE my middle name. I think what bothered me so much as a kid was since my name is Shelly, they would always think I was a Michelle. I like going by Shel, and my grandma who's 90 still calls me Shelbell. :-4:-6

My girls love their names too! That is such a blessing.

:-4 My name since it's real easy PJ. Yep, that's my real name. My mother and father were convinced they were having a boy so they only picked out boys names. Well, SURPRISE....here comes a baby girl. They took my mothers first initial and my fathers first initial and hence...PJ. Real easy to learn how to write my name when I got to school :wah: I have a really neat Italian last name but...:sneaky:

I am OK with my first name of ALONZO, a junior no less, however I do get a strange look from some African Americans when I introduce myself.
