I will pray for your friends.

I would rather not know if I was to die, but if I was told so, I would probably do what I do now. Because until the end, I would live the way I always have.

I'm sorry Jimbo.

I don't know what I would do. Probably nothing different to be honest. It would be too late to do the things I wanted to or to see what I wanted to see. I think I would surround myself with the things I love. Small luxuries: Books. Music. Small get togethers with my friends. And be with my family. Which aside from my dad, *means* my friends as I have little family left. I would just want to be comfortable and feel loved.

I hope I just go and don't have the knowledge of when.
ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I'd probably take the time to create even more good memories for my family if, God willing, I had the strength.

Let me start by saying how sorry I feel about your friends. This has to be taking a toll on you. I would not want to know I had a "time limit" on my life. My affairs are in order just in case that day happens. I spend each day as one day and I do not think about what might happen tomorrow. Again, I am sorry about your friends :-4

I am sorry about your friends, and will be praying for them and you!

I would make sure all the people that I love know that they are precious to me and create memories if possible....I think about dying a lot these days and have this theory that I will go without knowing....:-3

So sorry to hear about your friends Jimbo. I wouldn't want to know, but if I did, I'd try to make some videos and write some letters for my hubby, my 3 girls and my grandkids. All of them to be watched or read at special times just so they would know that I was there with them. My grandsons are too young to remember me if I were to go soon, so I'd want to leave them stuff to remember grandma and know some stuff about me. :-4

leave christening cards for unbourne granchildren etc

i might start doing this today just in case .... well you never know do you :-3

It definitely wouldn't hurt. I don't know if I could do it so soon tho, I don't want to face my own mortality just yet. :)

I've always loved to write, and i would take the time to write down all my thoughts and dreams for my son and leave him as many memories of me as i could! i would make sure that i tell everyone i love that i love them!

if i had the strength to do it there's a couple of places i've vowed to see before i die, i would try to make it there!

of course i would make peace with my maker, and if there were any hard feelings with anybody, i would make peace with them too!

and i would find a nice tropical place somewhere, and spend my last days sitting in front of a beautiful ocean view!

write a list of all the things ive always wanted to do and achieve and go ahead and do them. Live life to the max with my family and friends...Leave keepsafe boxes for my kids to open every xmas and birthday, especially the special ones like 21st and just lap up every minute...

Id prefer not to know as above is how id like to play it but in reality I may turn into a depressed introverted cry baby...who knows:-2

Sorry to hear of your buddies Jimbo, I received this today, watched it this morning and it made me feel very humble, weird that you choose this very topic on the day I received it...Its lengthy but worth sticking to the end, believe me.:-4

the words to this song sum up exactly the additude i hope i would have if i thought i were dying!

Live Like You Were Dyin'"

by Tim Mcgraw

He said I was in my early 40's,

With a lot of life before me,

And a moment came that stopped me on a dime.

I spent most of the next days, lookin' at the x-rays,

Talkin' 'bout the options and talkin' 'bout sweet time.

Asked him when it sank in, that this might really be the real end.

How's it hit ya, when you get that kind of news.

Man what ya do.

And he says,

[Chorus]

I went sky divin',

I went rocky mountain climbin',

I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name Fumanchu.

And I loved deeper,

And I spoke sweeter,

And I gave forgiveness I've been denying,

And he said someday I hope you get the chance,

To live like you were dyin'.

He said I was finally the husband,

That most the time I wasn't.

And I became a friend a friend would like to have.

And all the sudden goin' fishing,

Wasn't such an imposition.

And I went three times that year I lost my dad.

Well I finally read the good book,

And I took a good long hard look at what I'd do

If I could do it all again.

And then.

[Chorus]

I went sky divin',

I went rocky mountain climbin',

I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name Fumanchu.

And I loved deeper,

And I spoke sweeter,

And I gave forgiveness I've been denying,

And he said someday I hope you get the chance,

To live like you were dyin'.

Like tomorrow was a gift and you've got eternity

To think about what you do with it,

What could you do with it, what can

I do with with it, what would I do with it.

[Chorus]

Sky divin',

I went rocky mountain climbin',

I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name Fumanchu.

And I loved deeper,

And I spoke sweeter,

And I watched an eagle as it was flyin'.

And he said someday I hope you get the chance,

To live like you were dyin'.

I'm not a country music fan at all, but I love this song...any time we hear it we turn it up and sing without making fun of the "country" sound. :)

it's a very special song to me, a really good girlfriend of mine who is a breast cancer survior and makes motivational presentations uses this song and her presentation is called live like you were dying!

it's so inspiring to hear a story of survival! :-6

plus what makes it extra special is the pictures she uses in her presentation of loved ones and friends, Jacob is one of them!
