They won't take my blood. They have to let it run too long just to get past the foam.:D

I haven't. I tried to after my mom had a few transfusions, I wanted to "return" what had been given her but my bp was too high so they wouldn't accept me.

I will try again.

I used to all the time, but they won't take it since I lived in England back in '92. Mad cow disease :yh_cow:yh_eyerol

You'd think I'd have shown symptoms by now if I have it.

I have given blood a total of 26 times. I gave often in the military to get a day off duty. I sold my blood when in college because I needed the money for books etc. I gave blood when a friend was ill and during my working career I gave blood again. Now, I can no longer give blood as I have the big C.

I checked last spring. I still don't qualify because I lived in England for more than six months in the 90's. The worker didn't know why, so I told her. :)

I've given probably 10-15 gallons lifetime... over 5 gals with my

current bank, but it's been a little over a year since my last time

(usually give btwn 4-6 pints a year) just 'cause of my health,

my insomnia actually, it's never seemed like I get a good night's sleep

the night before I would go donate, and one of the first questions

on my bank's little survey is "Are you feeling well today?" and you guys

know me, I just can't lie. ;)

If me sleep patterns EVER level out, I'll get back into it again. You

sure get a great feeling when you donate.
