You should probably keep a list of phrases for our Brit friends to interpret for you. I have a friend on-line that I have learned many from.

When my brother came back from his internship in Australia - He talked so funny......LOL He said that they use to get Pissed (drunk) all the time at the pub.....LOL so when his friends came back for a stay this past summer and brought their boys- ages 17,13, & 10 - My girls never stopped laughing the whole week!

I understand what your saying. We have a English lass working for us now. I have been teaching her some tricks in Excel, and Word. We spend most of the time trying to figure what each other are saying. Actually we spend most of the laughing about it. She speaks so proper, and I speak slang and computer talk, we are going crazy..:-5

Take your American influence and your Brit influence and presto you got the "Canadian way" we are a confused lot ourselves so I can't help you there HAH!

Seriously us Canucks are heavily influenced by both nations. Some Canadians more Brit, others more American.

Our most outstanding feature is we apparently say "eh" alot I dont' get it eh.

I dunno maybe the other canucks on here can help out better, hmmmm *looks around and notices very few canucks, dang it, *

I love your Brit term " clever clogs " ahahaha that one always cracked me up. And the other that floors me "Roger that" oiy my understanding that is not a very nice Brit Term.

It's funny how language has changed over the years,

when i was a young whippersnapper i grew up in a house with 6 siblings

and if we said the word fart or hell we were chastised for it!

It was pump or trump:-2 my how times have changed!!

My little old mum still says pump, bless her.

When I was young my mom always called a crap - a bibby - .......until I came home from school one day and said my new friends name was Anne Bibby......She changed it to going for a number 2 after that.
