Umm....I think I need help!

Post by pinkchick »

Ok...here it is

Today I decided to have a bit of a clearout. My bedroom looks like a mini tornado has hit it right now :wah:

So far I have filled a bin liner with what can only be described as rubbish, which is of no use to man nor beast.

I have also tidied my book shelf and discovered to my absolute horror that there are at least 30 books on it that I still haven't read...:eek

I love books - reading is total escapism for me but I think I need help:rolleyes:

Is there such a group as "Book Lovers Anonymous"?:wah:

Should I start one?

Do any of you guys have the same problem?

:D:D

Yes Ma'am!! I have books all over the place! They are even hidden in odd places like between the couch and the end table with the couch's slipcover draped over them so they can't be seen. I love books, always have and can't part with them as they're like friends to me.

Usually once I've read a book I'll pass it on to someone else.

There are a few that I can't part with though :D

Hey Pinkchick:-6

You can give your books to your family, friends, "used book stores", and local churches and libraries for "dollar sale days."

If no one wants them I put them in a nice box with a sign on them, ~Lovely, free books for you to enjoy and read~. The box is usually gone in a short time, hopefully to a good family.

I keep my beloved ones though close to my heart.

You know Kathy - I have a box upstairs that is half full. It's going to my local library as soon as it's full :D

Last time I counted my books, I had over 300 in my book case! I have read them all and decided to donate them to the library in town. Now I have room for 300 more :wah:

I love books. Now that I live in a two room 'filing cabinet' space is limited. The upside is, my apartment building is right next to our public library. So in away, I have many thousands of books.

I have a book story I'll write up in my journal. True story. Really happened.

No, you don't need help. Either read the books or give them away. No problems. I am reading one and have two books waiting in the "corriders" to be read after I finish this one The current one is "World Without End" by Ken Follet. The books-in-waiting are "ShelleyII" (Shelley Winters 2nd part of her autobigraphy) and "Odd Hours" by Dean Koontz.

Yes, I have already read "Pillars of the Earth", "Shelley with an E" and the other Odd Thomas books by Koontz. :)
