So---------what are the names of your meds and do you have to pay anything for them?

I really don't want to go get my tub of meds and list them...I take 18 different ones. Insurance covers most of the cost.

A lot of mine are generic. Can't recall which offhand.
Lexapro
Abilify
Linosopril
Metformin
Novolog 70/30 Mix Insulin
Tricor
Lovastatin
Metaprolol
Lortab
Insurance picks up almost everything. One of those drugs is almost $300 a month and without insurance no way could I afford to take it.

You should try one for your back! I have more trouble swallowing the tiny prednisone than I do the ibuprofen.

US Air Force retired. Part of my benefit package is health insurance through Tricare (Humana). The monthly payment comes out of my retirement check. Drugs are at no additional cost to me if I get them on base, and San Antonio has almost as many bases as Starbucks.

My father-in-law and my brother-in-law both get their meds and their medical care with no cost to them, through our local veterans hospital.

If it's a tiny pink tablet we call it Prednisolone and you can dissolve it in a few drops of water, then just drink the water. Thats how my daughter takes it.

I use Mixtard which is injectable insulin. That's all. But then I also need needles to inject with, needles to do blood glucose tests, blood glucose testing strips. However, once you're diagnosed as diabetic all your meds become free for life.
My daughter was a chronic asthmatic as a baby. She could have opened a pharmacy with all the things she needed to take care of her. One box of nebules cost £75.00 and she needed at least one box every 3 weeks for years. Thank God for the NHS! Being under 18, everything she needed was free.
