Saints preserve us - BB is so sozzled she thinks I'm a bloke!!!! I don't think anyone's ever thought that before - Mmmmmmmm interesting!!! Maybe I better put on my new Paris frock - oh sorry can't do that, I don't have one - I was robbed of all me cash on the way here.

Grecianurn - a Lady has standards!!! And countryside simples are OUT when it comes to coffee. (A spot of henbane is fine for getting rid of unwanted pests.. :sneaky:)

What with you waving dandelion leaves at me, and Betty making big soulful loving eyes... and generally getting her blue cardie in a twist - I think I'll just make tracks, go walkabout...

Didn't mistake you for a man, 'ello me 'andsome' is just a Cornish greeting, bit like 'ello love'. We might also say 'ello bird', or 'allreet me ****' although we do have to be careful when saying such things to the holiday makers. Another saying a lot of non locals don't get is that we always say 'cheers' instead of saying goodbye:wah::wah::wah:

This place is really going downhill fast...I'm away for the day and look :-5

I can't say, "ny rov favenn goeg anodho" because I do. We need some standards, a little more respect and some grace. Come on Betty and Chef, you can do it :-6

bet this nowt like cornish-speak :D

The "thumpin head" that you speak of may well relate to the rapidly diminishing stocks of mead in the house. I advise you now, dear chef, stay well clear of the demon drink. It will rot your soul. Every time you feel tempted, remember those nine children who need your care. So, please straighten your hat, hold your head up high and make haste to the kitchen. Prepare us some fare fit for a lady.

Anyway I opes you like them CORNISH SPLITS I made earlier? :p

I shall be having strong words with Miss B. I expect our staff to be of impeccable character and demeanour. And, as their employers and benefactors, we should be leading by example.

The splits are delicious. Thank you, my dear :-6

(Have you seen Miss B today? I sincerely hope she isn't asleep on the cellar steps again.)

Sigh. Sadly, grace - like dignity and subservience to authority - is something I can't do. Ah well, I'll just take out the garbage, and go clean the dunny.

That's a quick recovery, Theia me love, BUT it's too late. I'm sulking again. Sulking in French actually. And didn't the French do some smuggling stuff round Cornwall? Merde alors, c'est un bordel ici!! Look at this mess!!! There's thrown scones and clotted cream everywhere, shredded piskies, and people speaking in strange celtic accents - all fresh from the tin mines probably, with dark hair and bluegreeneyes and ... not a proper, lifesaving coffee in sight. Moi, je boude donc!!!

Where is ze gallic smiley when you need it? Ze stylish emoticon? I would go google a frog, but zen ze prefects would incarcerate me... nom d'un chien!

Fresh water, Sir, and I do apologise for the delay. We have a major problem with staff at present.

Is there anything else Sir would like?

Chef, it isn't that Nomad who's the new kitchen lad, it's the other one. This Nomad is a paying customer upon whose recommendations our reputation may well depend.

(I'd much rather have your role than mine...mine's boring, really boring. And you moan about a measly Cornish accent?)

And now a mardy chef to deal with (would probably be "teasy" in Cornwall)!

Kindly stop stamping your feet, you just missed trampling one of the nine, and I'll fetch you some mead...just a drop, mind you.

Soaked?

(think it may be devonshire, but I'll let that pass).

Are you perchance breeding centipedes? The patter of unbooted feet seems to be getting louder and increasing in number.

Here's half a schooner and that will be your lot. And don't trip over Miss Betty on the steps when you fetch the wood from the cellar.

And flattery will get you nowhere...I still don't like my role
