Pope warns Italy in danger of returning to fascism

I don't think that Italy is reverting to Fascism, or that Italy should be singled out, what I think is that people are afraid in a lot of Western countries, as there is a lot of negative stuff going on right now in the world, and when people become afraid, things can start to gain their own momentum. People in Ireland are worried right now as well, about a lot of the same things that people in Italy are, as are people in Britain, France, everywhere in Europe. Some politicians are using these fears, as they always do, some are ignoring the problems that are there as they are unpleasant to discuss, like they always do, I'm somewhere in the middle.

That thread of xenophobia and fear is always going to be there. At least now we have the language to describe it and where it can lead and perhaps a better understanding. At least i would like to think so.
