I can't stand the stuff

too frustrating - hate it - I've stopped the aggravation

so I wrap plate or bowl & all into a plastic bag

bags are free from the produce dept.

I'm concerned with the toxic factor with the Press & Seal ??

and yes it sticks to everything. sticky junk worries me, and with the food touching this junk etc. not a good idea..

That crossed my mind but I dismissed the thought after seeing the cat lick her ass and she seems fine.

It does cling. But just to everything that you don’t want it to cling to, and only not to the things you want it to cling to.

:wah: That seems easy enough.

Be careful of the endocrine-disrupting plasticizers that tend to contaminate the food.

Ian;965275 wrote: You need two pegs a washing line an hairdryer and a extension cable:-2

Firstly, unwrapped the Cling Wrap to the desired specification.

Secondly, make sure its not windy outside.

Thirdly, If it's not windy outside(see secondly).. choose two pegs with a soft tension grip.

Fourthly, peg your Cling Wrap to the washing line.

Fifthly, plug your hairdryer into the extension cable and proceed outside.

Sixthly, switch on the hairdryer on the lowest setting and gently heat up the Cling Wrap.

Seventhly and finally, rush back inside with your heated Cling Wrap and cover your desired thing that wants covering...

WARNING: you only have a 14 second window to get from outside to inside, in failing this please repeat the process ;)

Warning: Danger doing this in Ireland this summer could result in electric shock as electrical devices should not be used in the lash'n rain...:-5

I absolutely hate the stuff. No matter how I try to approach putting it on something is end up a mess, or is a ball of useless Cling Wrap. :-5 I just spent 8 days house setting at my sisters while the were at the Olympics you guessed it all she had was "Cling Wrap". I fought with it for 2 day then went and bought aluminum foil. :p

You should wrap her up in it. See how she likes it. Call her selfish for running around kicking balls while you were having a nervous breakdown.

I always found cheap cling wrap works better than brand names like Glad.

Except in England. They make the cling wrap so thin I couldn't physically peel it off the roll without it ripping. I had to throw the whole thing out as useless and fired off an angry email to the manufacturer.

I wonder if I still have a copy of that somewhere...

Caral

I believe we've agreed on this clear wrap crap before

on a thread - " what irritates you"?? I said kitchen clear wrap (Saran).

I hate this stuff and refuse to use it anymore - none of it.. I fought with it enough..

Solution - The clear produce bags in your store

I slip a plate full - or platter full, bowl of soup and it covers - no fuss - no muss

Produce bags expand larger than any cheap simple bag you can buy.

I won't play this game

I already have other games during the day to deal with

Like - find the coffee cup - forget it- I don't search anymore - I pour another cup...

find it later - Life is simple
