Hi fuzzy, first thing to know is you can't believe anything that comes from airamerica. I won't waste my time even reading or listening to anything they comment on. They used to be on the radio but so many people got so sick of hearing their very left wing nuts bash on our county and service men and women that they went bankrupt and off the air.

Pakistan is one of our allies in the middle east. We have tried to get them to let us go in and rally up all the terrorists that continue to cross borders into Iraq, kill our soldiers, then go back into Pakistan. Pakistan doesn't even bother with that border and pretty much let the militants do what they want...that's why we want to cross that border.

Afghanistan is where we went first, then to Iraq which was probably a mistake, yet we took out a dictator that was slottering his own people at an unbelievable rate...not to mention the raping, family honor killings, cutting off of arms for anyone found carrying American money...etc.

We haven't gone into Russia. Reagan went to the wall and told (I have no idea how to spell that presidents name) them to tear down that wall....that was in the 80's. If we went in there now, there would be a WWIII happening.

I haven't heard anything about us going into Pakistan. Like I said, they are our allies...and where we would need to cross, there aren't any "innocent" people.

It's rags like airamerica that have all these celebrities that hate our county and they just let them bash away on our wonderful country. This is also why so many people in different parts of the world think we so terrible. I for one am proud of my country. This is an awesome country to live in, but we don't take crap....we'll go out and get the terrorists that came into OUR country and killed almost 4,000 of our people that were actually innocent. Our intelligence people have also thwarted many other planned attacks on America from the radical Islam.

Just to be fair I went and read the article you had linked. What amazes me about it is the lack of names listed as military personel, witnesses, and government officials. If they are going to write a piece like this, they need to reveal names and sources...only the name of one was not listed because of annonimity. They are very vague in their use of witnesses and sources.

Farther down, it also states that they aren't sure the USA was involved.

I love politics and am an avid watcher....both Republicans and Democrats. I do watch what's going on in the world as much as I can.

Has our country made wrong decisions about things? Absolutely!

The Frontier Post, Peshawar Pakistan: "Attacks on Pakistan’s sovereignty", Sunday, September 07, 2008.

Pakistan's foreign office protests and Parliament's condemnation on NATO forces' incursion in Angoor Adda on Thursday seem to have no effect. German Defence Minister Franz Josef Jung called on General Tariq Majid at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi when the former warned that Pakistan reserves the right to appropriately retaliate in future.

But the same day the US spy plane fired missile in North Waiziristan near Pak-Afghan border killing seven people including children. This was the third US attack within Pakistan's territory in last three days despite protests by Pakistan's Foreign Office. Pakistan's ambassador in the US. Hussain Haqqani has also condemned the incursions and reminded the US authorities that such acts would create hatred against the US.

http://frontierpost.com.pk/News.aspx?ncat=ed&nid=140

Innocent people, presumably, at least include women, children and any other Pakistanis who simply live in these local villages near the border and try to get on with life despite foreigners arriving in helicopters and shooting at them.

Just keep taking your country down the pan of history, you're doing a fine job. The rest of us can sit back and watch. You don't need pushing, you leapt decades ago.

It's shameful that you don't produce additional information rather than just opinion. And no, "freaking AK waving, bomb belted terrorists" aren't innocent, they're criminals. Sadly they're not the only ones who die when your armed forces open fire though and "we didn't intend that", even in the unlikely event that it's true, isn't an acceptable excuse any longer. It's happened far too often and it should never happen at all.

I'm not posturing, I'm annoyed. America interferes in the internal affairs of sovereign countries, it's been doing it all my life but the scale of these interventions is now intolerable where previously it was contained by US public opinion and a willingness around the world to give the US the benefit of the doubt time and again. We're past that.

You have a minor irritant criminal fundamentalist pressure group run by Osama bin Laden committing a major criminal act and your administration doesn't treat it as a criminal act, it especially doesn't investigate the crime adequately, it declares a meaningless "war on terror" and proceeds to cause the untimely deaths of over a million non-Americans who had nothing at all to do with the crime. Shame on you all, every last one of you, it's not good enough.

You don't need armed forces abroad, you need effective policing systems but you'll not get any of it short of an internal revolution against the usurpers of your political inheritance and a lot of prosecutions. Cleanse your filthy stable and you'll see no criticism from me at all.

Read the above. There were a few criminals and now there are a lot more of them in reaction to the way the US responded. They're still criminals and it's not a war, it's an excuse to deploy US armed forces.

The US is the sole problem as far as this is concerned, it's all the responsibility of the US administration and the lousy decisions it's taken instead of adequately policing a criminal act. "Bring them on" was part of it, I agree.

It's justified by the facts. Countries have self-interests, fine. The US has gone too far and has too often broken the rules, it needs caging.

These clowns probably couldn't work their GPS, either that or it's part of a plot to destabilise the pakistani regime (who if you remember just got rid of the military dictator musharif ) by making them look ineffective and unable to keep their independence from the americans so that the fundamentalists get more support. Pakistan actually DOES have WMD's and the means to use them so it would be a good excuse to invade if a fundamentalist party took power. It's unlikely but heavy handed american action makes it more likely imo.

One advantage of being british or australian is we are allowed to say what we like about our government and anything else so one of the things we are doing to make things better is Objecting to our countries involvement in this ludicrous escapade loudly and often. Yiou seem to forget there are british troops involved in this as well. In the ist gulf war we lost more troops to american fighter planes than to enemy action. It's bad enough being involved in a war without worrying about getting killed by those are supposed to be on their own side. Not only do they not have the good grace to apologise they also try and cover it up.

This is just one such incident.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/6333853.stm

Dig out the footage it would make you weep and then want to lynch the pilots, what kind of idiot thinks orange is a good desert camouflage colour

Maybe you could get someone in the US administration to complain about the actions of british troops in afghanistan and iraq- that way the demand to get them out of there will reach such a volume even GB and DC will have to listen and take action.

(Heard from a scottish soldier- when the taliban open fire the nato forces hide because they know they are being shot at. when the british open fire the taliban hide because they know they are being get shot at, when the americans open fire everybody hides because F--k knows who the target is)

tell you what, get the US government to sign the extradition treaty with the UK that congress have refused to ratify but we are stupid enough to honour and hand over all the IRA terrorists you refused to extradite and accept the fact you deliberately turned a blind eye to the fact americans were financing a terrorist organisation then maybe, just maybe, we might believe the US is involved in a war on terror. Accept the jurisdiction of international courts for US citizens and not just cite international law when it suits you. Stop unilaterally abrogating international treaties when it suits you, stop imprisoning foreign citizens without trial stop de-stabilising countries just because you think them unsuitable for american interests and you can have some claim to make an honest living and be in a position to claim the moral high ground. Surely no one in america still thinks not going after osama bin laden and invading iraq instead was a good idea. How come you are not angry at being lied to by your own government? In other words get a hold of your government and call them to account for what they have done. You owe it to the 4,000 plus dead and the other thousands wounded.

Until then stop feeling sorry for yourselves. It gets a bit repetitive hearing americans bleating about how no one loves them and everybody hated them and is envious of their way of life. If you are going to play with the big boys at international politics you need to be able to handle the criticism if not take your toys and go home where it's safe. Personally the world might be a safer place of GW wasn't trying to start a war with Iran and now it looks like he wants another cold war with russia -I say cold war because surely even he wouldn't want to start ww3, but then again maybe god is whispering to him.

GMC- Don't blame the USA for whining about not being liked. We are well aware of that fact. YOU people have been the whiners here today, here other days and most likely, here tomorrow. Whining is cheap and easy. You say Australians can complain about their government? WOW, awesome. We always could and do.

Say what you want, I've looked at other countries and governments. As attractive as some countries look, the USA always rates highest.

Hoppy, you need to back that up with factual figures with these guys. Just for future reference. They'll eat you alive.;)

Back up what? I didn't say anything that requires backing up in my last post.

My last line was meant as I see other countries through MY eyes. That is MY opinion.

The only other country I might consider would be Canada but I would need to do more research on that. Geographically, it's similar to the USA in many ways. Climate, mountains, plains etc. No other country interests me. There is no link, just my opinion.

America just invaded the Queen of England!!!!!

Not only that but it's quite possible you've just ****ed up our entire Cricket season. Do you realise you've probably destroyed the only diplomatic institution we have with Pakistan? OUR FRIENDS.........do you understand that Mr Bush? Pakistan is our friend.

Oh don't worry about Libya being invaded again. Did anyone read that they are Americas' new best friends? yep , that whacky handsome dude "Gaddaffi duck" is your new bestest friend in the whole world.:wah::wah::wah:

I wouldn't call him friend just yet. He still has not forked over any money he promised for restitution. I'm surprised you people don't suck up to him. Or isn't he radical enough for you?

You euro's put the USA down but MAYBE, if you people were not so damn permissive, radical muslims would not be running amok so. Maybe it's really all europe's fault for not having the balls to handle affairs over there before they get out of control.

I'd rather have radical muslims running around than having the Westboro Baptist Church running amok, actually.:D

Hoppy that's just an old saying and if you look at the context in how it was said and what circumstances it was said in then you wouldn't be using it here.
