wacky router

heres a mystery,my netgear router power pack stopped working,i bought a universal one and all was fine.now however when i try to connect to the net even tho my laptop says ime connected ime not!but the real mystery is...i can connect if i have no power exept for the net cable connected to the router!!!any one know whats going on???:confused:

Did the F11 reset to default factory settings work properly for ya'? (yeah, I'm just bumpin' this again after responding to another post about Java on here whilst waiting for your response. Oops. ) :p

Ended up going into Comets to see the nice gentleman who sold me somefing a couple of months ago and ended up him saying he would do it for me if I went and got it.....so I did and now all sorted and they never charged:DAlso had to connect the Internet again and the router seems fine now also........so right result I reckon:D:driving:

If I had what you've got to flash around I'd get service like that as well.
