I thought I'd finally open this thread and see what vile posturing might have been going on. Sure enough...

It's similar to the time Spot posted In the green room that I was apparently ' laughing It up off site at my attempts to disrupt this forum because I wanted to buy out FG and failed'. He had absolutely no evidence to support this. You're hoping, presumably, that the posts on 24 are by now irretrievable. Nobody ever said "and failed", my own impression was that you'd never made the offer. The memorable phrase was "everything has a price".

I'll tell you what, make an irresistible offer to Bryn. Let's see how you get on.

So, with Jones safely out of action, now we hear from Spot. Hmmmmm and we never did get to the bottom of exactly why you badgered 24 forums site owner to be a moderator there to moderate such members as Jones, Pantsonfire, Ladycop, Frank etc etc... still, I suppose that will have to remain one of life's mystery's as you never wish to give an answer.

Sorry Spot... shan't rise to your challenge or your bait.... There's a nice little young Colt with my name on It.... that's where my money's going. :wah:

Sorry folks but with me being a stickler for fact and a loathing for hypocrisy, I was compelled to go searching. I don't make bold statements here lightly.

Re: Reported Post by spot

I'm trying to help mould an environment where discussions can happen without them being wrecked. We've had a full year now with no bans or infractions and the only fly in the ointment that I can see right now is oscar. My opinion is that FG is capable of growth but that oscar is filthing the place up. She tried to buy the site, she failed and I think she's now using it as a punch bag while laughing off-channel at her antics."

After reading other members posts last night, I made a conscious decision to not rise to the bait any further. I am just surprised Spot posted here after such a long silence on the matter and start this going all over again.

However, I felt the need to correct Spot that the word failed was Indeed written by him.

So which is the actual case? Did you in fact make an offer for FG and fail to have it accepted, or did you fail to make an offer having announced your intention to? We have two potential "fails" here that you're conflating into one, two instances where I've used the word "fail" with two different things being discussed. Perhaps you'd like to disclose which fail is true.

Tell you what... you explain why you badgered the site owner of another forum Into moderating his forum where Jones, Ladycop etc etc had hung out for years and I might find the corrospondence I sent TS at the time.

I like this post. :yh_worshp
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

At the time I posted on the mentioned forum, you were not the moderator nor even a member. You were snooping as you have openly admitted that you regually snoop In my facebook profile. It just seemed odd behaviour that you'd want to moderate a forum with the very people that had been banned from this forum. Just curious as to your motives Spot.

Why on earth would anyone set about becoming a moderator on a forum that consisted In the main of members that you loathed here?

I'm surprised you fail to recall. I was invited to, very publicly and rudely, by Lady Cop.

She deleted her Crime forum after the site owner Installed you as a moderator. It was her forum and In the main, her posts. Within the realms of the forum, she had the right to do that the same as Carol shut down her thread here. It may not have been the right thing to do but It was her choice. In hindsight, considering most of the members closed their accounts upon your arrival, It mattered not.

What exactly do you think I was moderator of? The site as a whole? Only Brian had that, I never did either before or after.

What exactly do you think I was moderator of? The site as a whole? Only Brian had that, I never did either before or after. You may actually be right. Most of the members there warned Brian that If you even so much as joined as a member, they would all close their accounts. He didn't heed so they did just that.

However, LC did not call you to moderate. She called you out for repeatedly defaming her here where she couldn't defend herself.

Regardless, why on earth would you even want to take over her forum ? Why would anyone want to stick around and moderate the very people he banned from FG such as Jones?

Had I not joined, that would not have become apparent to her.

The bit about oh I so wish he'd sign up here I'd show him what for, that might have been the precipitating factor. My thoughts when registering were possibly along the lines of crass bloody motormouth, you want to find out, let's find out. As to my subsequently applying to moderate her forum area, put that down to twisting the insult so it hurt. She'd departed before the idea even occurred to me but even so I bet she felt the slap. I note that I couldn't have become moderator of the forum area she'd abandoned without Brian's agreement so it wasn't just me slapping her.

Are you sure JJ was there on 24 at the time? I have no recollection that he was.

For clarification, I had two years not moderating FG until 20 months ago, I'm reasonably sure I wasn't a mod here when all that happened at 24.

As I recall, her Initial post was calling you out for slating her here when she couldn't defend herself. It's a nasty practice that continue's here on a regular basis with you bringing up Anastrophe and Clancy whenever the mood takes you.

It wasn't a one off, you slated her regually so I have no sympathy for you for that post on 24 hour forums... she couldn't post It here could she? As well you knew.

As I can recall off the top of my head, when you did join 24 hour forums, you did not post In her thread calling you out. I do not recall you answering her post.... you just set about moderating her Crime forum. I do not recall her threatening you either... just a challenge to answer her post...

Maybe somewhere on my old laptop, may be the many e mails I recieved from her at that time In the deleted box that may shed more light.

Hmmm what shall I do tomorrow? Go and look at an exciting new horse or trawl through old e mails.... gosh that's a toughy.

Sheer logic, if nothing else, should tell you you're wrong. "I do not recall you answering her post.... you just set about moderating her Crime forum" quite simply can't be true, LC was the moderator there until she deleted her posts and left. All I did until then was post on the site, and some few of my posts were in her forum area. They were only a few because it was the only space she had moderator rights over.

I'm not known for having an accurate memory but I do know that LC has done things online while a bit inebriated that she's regretted or been called on the carpet for later. She had a complete hissy fit when spot showed up, demanded Brian ban him, had another hissy fit when Brian refused and deleted all her posts in a fit of rage. Brian was absolutely livid and banned her. Spot must have been waiting impatiently in the wings because within hours, it was announced that he was the new mod for the crimes section. I secretly had a laugh over that but I'm kind of sadistic.

I didn't know jones was at 24Hour, what was his name there?

That wouldn't surprise me in the least. I choose when and where I respond to people. It's why I didn't open this thread until today.

LC had moderator rights on 24 right to the moment she walked away. She'd not have been able to delete all her posts otherwise.

Before my time but I suspect there was a LOT more to the friction between you two than that. The fact that she identified as a cop and your obvious dislike for them wouldn't really make for a pleasant online relationship.

One hopes, if they're ever taken down for cleaning, that I get sufficient notice to tidy quite a few things into drawers and cupboards first.
