I originally was of the guilty mind in this case. Basically because of the lies and erratic behavior of the mother. After reviewing the evidence or lack thereof I think everyone in this case did their respective jobs. The prosecutors firmly believe the mother killed the daughter but lacked enough solid evidence to convince a jury, doesn't mean she didn't do it just means they didn't have enough evidence. Obviously lying and erratic behavior is not evidence of murder only evidence of erratic behavior. The defense obviously did their job by mis directing the jury to alternative scenarios to give doubt. The jury did their job by going strictly by the evidence and not just opinions. The system worked whether she killed Caylee or not.

That's just it, non-conclusive evidence.
Her lying & erratic behavior should have sent signals.
Millions across the world knew she killed her, she just got away with murder just like OJ did.

And the jury, Odie? The ones who sat in the courtroom from start to finish and actually heard all the evidence? They're all corrupt deluded plonking liars are they, lacking as they did the necessary insight you possess to sift truth from falsehood?

Just where did you get "the court chose to ignore it" from, Odie? From the news media rhetoric? How long have you actually followed this case?
Casey Anthony had a trial with due process of law. Every citizen has the right to a trial and are considered innocent until proven guilty. She had her trial, the prosecution failed and her jury chose to not convict for lack of evidence. The court did not fail, the prosecution did.
Odie;1362346 wrote: That's just it, non-conclusive evidence.

All the prosecution had was circumstantial evidence. They had no solid proof, no witnesses testifying that Casey actually killed her daughter, and didn't know nor could prove when it happened or why. The only evidence they produced was the skeletal remains and lots of speculation and theories, that's it! Not enough to convict someone and give them the death penalty.
Signals to whom, Odie? She and her daughter lived with her parents. The parents enabled her behavior in many ways including babysitting at times so she could go out and party.
Her mother denied to others that her daughter Casey was even pregnant. The mother perjured herself on the witness stand. It was brought out in court the father had an affair during the time they were searching for the grandchild and lied about that on the witness stand. The father was a retired law enforcement officer. Why do you think, with his background and training, he didn't pick up on any "signals" as you put it?
I'd say this whole family has issues with lying.
Odie;1362349 wrote: they were deceived with her lies.
She was charged with 4 counts of lying to the police which she will be sentenced for tomorrow.
Tell me Odie, the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Do you think her parents should be prosecuted for their lies too?

The prosecution did fail just like they did with OJ.
I have been following this story for 4 years.
Just because there wasn't enough evidence, does not mean she didn't killed her daughter.
what sentence tomorrow, her 4 years? hah! She has already spent those, she will walk free tomorrow.

Casey Anthony juror Jennifer Ford said today that she and the other jurors cried and were "sick to our stomachs" after voting to acquit Casey Anthony of charges that she killed her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
"I did not say she was innocent," said Ford, who had previously only been identified as juror number 3. "I just said there was not enough evidence. If you cannot prove what the crime was, you cannot determine what the punishment should be."
The jury's jaw dropping not guilty verdict shocked court observers, but it was also a difficult moment for the panel, Ford said in an exclusive interview with ABC News. No one from the jury was willing to come out and talk to the media in the hours after the verdict.
"Everyone wonders why we didn't speak to the media right away," Ford said. "It was because we were sick to our stomach to get that verdict. We were crying and not just the women. It was emotional and we weren't ready. We wanted to do it with integrity and not contribute to the sensationalism of the trial."
Instead of murder, Casey Anthony, 25, was found guilty of four counts of lying to law enforcement and could be released from jail as early as Thursday.
"They picked a great bunch of people, such high integrity. And there was high morale," she said. "We all joked. We are like a big group of cousins."
Casey Anthony Prosecutor: 'All Came Down to Cause of Death'
Earlier today, the prosecutor and an alternate juror agreed on why the jury had refused to convict Anthony: They couldn't prove how little Caylee Anthony died.
"It all came down to the evidence," said Florida state attorney Jeff Ashton on "The View." "I think ultimately it all came down to -- at least from what the one alternate said -- it came down to the cause of death."
Russell Huekler, one of five alternate jurors who were present for all the testimony and sequestered along with the 12 other jurors, said today that he would have delivered the same verdict and that he was shocked by the public outrage over the trial's outcome.
Jennifer Ford is a 32 year old nursing student.
"The prosecution failed to prove their case and there was reasonable doubt. Again, they didn't show us how Caylee died. They didn't show us a motive. I'm sorry people feel that way. ... These were 17 total jurors. They really listened to this case and kept an open mind," Huekler said.
Prosecution was hampered by the fact that Caylee Anthony's body wasn't discovered until six months after she disappeared. She was found lying in a swampy, wooded area. Her body was so badly decomposed that the autopsy could not determine a cause of death and stated only that she was a victim of homicide by undetermined means.
"I don't think it was the lack of DNA" connecting Casey Anthony to her daughter's death that undermined the case, Ashton said. "It was the cause of death."
"We were pretty shocked" at the verdict, he said. "We put on everything that an investigation, a really thorough investigation over three years, produced. That's the way it goes. I think I mouthed 'Wow' five times."
One of the most powerful pieces of evidence, he said, was the photo of Caylee's decomposed skull with the pieces of duct tape where her mouth and nose would have been.
"What I've said all along is if a jury looks at that photograph and doesn't see it the way I do and doesn't know how she died, then so be it," Ashton said. "I wouldn't have been involved in this case if I didn't think she did it."
"The first number of witnesses were Casey's friend and every time that they said they saw Casey with Caylee, it was a loving relationship and no one provided evidence to the contrary," Huekler said.
Huekler said the lack of physical evidence that Caylee was murdered overwhelmed the circumstantial evidence of Casey Anthony's many lies and her hard partying in the 31 days when she knew her daughter was dead but didn't tell authorities.
"Yeah, the behavior was bizarre, but what I took from that is that the family was very dysfunctional. Because they were so dysfunctional, that was the norm for them. Casey didn't just start lying for the first 31 days [after Caylee disappeared]. She had been lying for the past two years...I felt it was the norm for her," Huekler said.
Huekler also said it didn't bother him that Casey Anthony did not testify in her own defense.
George and Cindy Anthony have not met with their daughter since her trial began, but they hope to meet with her and to one day get the truth about what happened to Caylee.
"There was a slim chance that we were hoping to get some sliver of truth during this trial and that would have been by testimony from Casey…hopefully one day she'll tell her story, but who knows what to believe," Lippman said.

The child went missing 3 years ago, so how the heck did you follow it for 4?????
Below is the post you made at another forum on June 9th 2011 about this case, just to refresh your memory regarding how long you have actually followed this. By what you posted in that thread "The Casey Anthony Trial," the question was asked if anyone is hooked on watching this. I'd say you thought it was a movie, by the response you made to it!
I had no idea it was even on, is it a true story?
She went back to jail this morning, Odie. Was found guity on all 4 counts of lying to police. With time served and good behavior, she will be released soon. But how "free" do you actually think she'll be?
How about providing a link to your copy and paste article above, so it can be read in its entirety and to give credit where credit is due, for writing it?

You told me quite some time ago to leave other forums where they are, funny how you changed your mind when it suits you.
I followed it here and there when it was on the news just like everyone else did.
She will be free and quite happy as she is going to write a book and make a movie.

I didn't type it in and if you check there are many stories via google.
she won't a danger to society, she has a new life now with tons of money from interviews, talk-shows, writing a book and a movie.
It's her that will be in danger.

As for her "tons of money from interviews, talk-shows, writing a book and a movie", on the contrary, I predict by this time next year she'll have filed bankruptcy. Everyone and his dog wants money from her.

To return to the thread's topic - yet another child caught falling, though this time without a balcony - I bring personal testimony. If I gird my literary loins momentarily I'll begin, but it's a strange tale when one's endeavouring to maintain strict accuracy.
These events took place today while Laura and I were on the main lawn of Bristol Zoo. It would perhaps help if I suggest Laura is best pictured as Maggie Simpson but without the pacifier, being nine months old or thereabouts. She spends time with me in an attempt to kickstart her mind. Regular visitors to Bristol Zoo discuss us under their breath as "that odd pair".
So, the "yet another child caught falling" tale. Laura saved a toddler's life this afternoon in a circumstance where nobody else had a chance to intervene.
She was playing follow-my-leader across the lawn on hands and knees and had just arrived a foot from a set of green benches when a lad at least three times her age, sat facing the other way (toward an unoccupied stage) lost his balance and toppled head-back with both arms flailing and no adult within six feet. Laura interposed herself between him and the ground, allowing his head to hit the back of her knees and, in rapid succession, his shoulders back and legs against the rest of her, leaving her pinned to the ground splayed like a starfish with only hands and feet showing.
With an anguished cry of "Oh! Oh! My baby!" some female who had, I now suspect, no idea Laura was there, dove into view and dragged him into her arms, causing the lad to erupt in howls. She then saw the flattened infant, uttered a squeak, dropped her outraged offspring and scooped up the hero of the hour. Propping Laura upright against a convenient post the woman then rather inanely asked her whether she had a mother. I intervened, since Laura looked extremely puzzled by the question.
Woman and child eventually went off with a profusion of thanks, she and I agreeing Laura had averted what could otherwise have been a disaster. I'm considering striking a life-saving medal with "Well Held" and the date engraved on it.

And the "private jet" seems unlikely, too. With her hair in a bun, Casey Anthony walked out the front door of an Orlando-area jail shortly after midnight, wearing a pink T-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers, and escorted by sheriff’s deputies holding semiautomatic rifles. Protesters shouted “baby killer” as she climbed into an SUV. The vehicle sped away and darted into a parking garage at a building where one of her attorneys has offices. Where she went next is unknown.
Soon after her release, there was police activity at Orlando Executive Airport as two vehicles pulled up to a twin-engine private jet bound for Columbus, Ohio, but no one saw Anthony get out and onto the plane. Ohio is the home state of Anthony’s parents, but an official at the Columbus airport said the aircraft was only carrying golfers back from a Florida vacation.

Even if no one actually saw Casey get into and out of the twin engine private jet at the Orlando Executive Airport, According to officials, the plane passengers were golfers back from a vacation, but rather doubtful. The police or maybe the lawyers of Casey were just misleading the media and the crowd who gathered to watch Casey be set free. On the other hand, the authorities probably did not want to acknowledge the special treatment given to this highly notorious individual.
This unusual security for Casey's release was necessary because she has one of the most known and hated faces right now as a result of the wide media coverage. Now that she is free, she should take care of her own life without security from Orlando otherwise this might be tantamount to special treatment for someone who is undeserving. Whatever security she needs in the future should be of her own expense and not of the state who had lost enough funds in the search and investigation of the missing Caylee.
next she'll have plastic surgery so no one will recognize her.

Far and away her best option will be to emigrate. Though, mind you, I'd give the same advice to any American of her generation regardless of notoriety.
