You're 'wearing' her down Theia....at least Betty's talking of LENDING the brown cardi. !!:D

Bez, yesterday I bought a lovely "blue" cardi in Next's sale for, wait for it, eight pounds!! Betty was right when she commented that it looked like it was inside out...it does. But I love my inside out blue cardi to death and no other cardi, I repeat no other cardi, is quite so warm and cuddly. I am in love...in love with its colour, its baggy sleeves, its inside outness and even its couple of worrying looking snags. I am well pleased and shall no longer covet the cardi of another. I am healed :-6

I am so glad to hear that the 'Brown' cardi issue is now resolved. Please hide the 'Blue' cardi from Betty's eyes.....................................other wise we may have a "Betty covets Theias Blue cardi thread"

No worries Bez, I have my own blue cardi from M&S, so I'm not in the slightest bit interested in Theias Next cardi
I see Theia didn't mention that whilst in M&S yesterday we very nearly had security called on us. :sneaky:

Well, actually, Betty, I thought you might prefer that I didn't mention it.
Bez, a cautionary word before I tell the story...don't ever go shopping with Betty. She is "I want, I want" constantly.
Anyway, there I was, paying for my two bargain nightshirts at the checkout when someone barged passed me, heading for the next checkout to pay for her non bargain per una very expensive tops, and nearly knocking me for six. I knew it could only be Betty and so I muttered, "Charming, knock me right over why don't you." Betty was just about to turn around and do so when her sales assistant said nervously, "I hope everything is alright." Betty answered, "Oh, it's okay, we know one another," to which the sales assistant replied, "Thank goodness. I thought I might have to call security."
Now just imagine how I felt, Bez. Totally mortified. It's going to be at least a couple of days before I dare to show my face in there again.
Oh the folly of youth...is all I can say.

Betty Boop wrote: So... what is your idea of a lazy sunday??
I guess one of mine would be to have an improtu get together with friends, a BBQ or something, make everyone bring something to eat and drink. Allow the kids to run riot (within reason!) and sit around, chat, catch up with everyone.:-6
Here is mine. Sunday

This sounds gorgeous!!! As does Pinky's carvery!
Theia...I'm so sorry to hear about your blue cardi! How totally gutting for you! :-1
Betty...are you SURE you wanna hang that cardi on the line??? :sneaky:
What if the wind "accidentally" blows it away??? :wah:
Theia... you know, one day, out of the sheer kindness of her heart, Betty will give you that brown cardi....and you'll wonder why you ever wanted it! hehehe
