Lazy Sunday?

Post by Betty Boop »

So... what is your idea of a lazy sunday??

I guess one of mine would be to have an improtu get together with friends, a BBQ or something, make everyone bring something to eat and drink. Allow the kids to run riot (within reason!) and sit around, chat, catch up with everyone.:-6

My ideal Sunday would be lounging around the house in a sort of brownish coloured cardigan with fringey bits but I doubt it will ever happen for me :-1

Oh well, it's nearly that lazy Sunday...a quick cuppa methinks and then off to bed, perchance to dream...of generosity and brown cardigans

A lazy Sunday for me would start with coffee while catching up with the news on the Forum. Then a shower, shave, clean clothes on and a wander down to the local for lunch and a beer. An afternoon kip would follow. Then tea and a book or a film.

Lazy Sunday yesterday was to take a four year old to ride steam trains. He's a Thomas the Tank Engine fan and was over the moon with joy. I've always felt Sunday was a family day, and do make an effort not to get too swamped by work on that day. When I'm in Sydney I really enjoy taking a ferry to Manly Beach for the day.

We just got back from a Sunday drive, running some errands. We went to Target, and bought a few things. Did not find what we went in looking for, but got a few things anyway. Then we stopped at the drugstore for drugs. then down toe road for a couple bottles of wine...and to the burger place for dinner.

Sure was hot out today, in the high 90s:-6

This one's easy for me:

1. Sleep in to 9:00

2. Eat some Captain Crunch.

3. Power up the Playstation and play some RPG for a couple of hours.

4. Go to the aquatic Center and go swimming for a couple of hours.

5. Dry off in a lounge chair, suntanning, listening to the MP3 player, and reading a good sci-fi book.

6. Watch a new blockbuster DVD with my girl, while eating some munchies and washing it down with good beer.

7. A nice home-cooked dinner with my girl (we trade off being the cook) and some reality TV.

8. Sit in the hot tub, watching "Star Trek" on the laptop computer.

9. A little reading in bed, (and possibly some recreational sports) then a nice 8 hours of sleep before Monday!

What a day!!!:D

Considering j-lows financial sitch he's always going on about, I'm

surprised he didn't pawn the Playstation and the MP3 and the laptop

to get that Captain Crunch...

VERY early Tuesday morning here, I'm still up. Can't sleep. Your dinner sounds wonderful, Pam, how do you fix a cauliflower cheese pie? Is it like quiche?

Hi BR, I can't sleep either. I got a beautiful fresh cauliflower at a market store on Sunday - smelled like it had just been picked. I steamed it then tossed it into a casserole dish with some cooked bacon pieces, smothered the lot in cheese sauce and baked it till the top was brown. It was good. (A cold weather dish).

Today was the first "lazy sunday" I've had in AGES! I slept in(well, that was kind of a given since I went to bed at nearly 5 am!). Woke up at around 11, stayed in my bed watching TV. Went out of my bedroom at noon for a snack, sat on the PC for half an hour. It was nice out so I decided to go grab my ipod and head out to the jacuzzi for a few. Stayed there for 40 minutes. Got out, showered, met a friend at the movies. Saw the new "Pirates" movie, LOVED it. After the movie met a few other friends for coffee; stayed and talked for a couple of hours. Came home, and am now sitting on the PC for a few 'till my show starts, then I'm heading to bed, watch my show and get some sleep....ahhhhhhhhhhh nice day!
