That may indeed by so, Oscar, but I find it's necessary for me anyway to set priorities in life, use some judgment and direct my energy. I have a busy actual life and come online just for occasional recreation. Again thank you for your advice. Have a great evening/morning and keep warm.

:-6 Yes, it must be wonderful not to be at home all hours with a husband recovering from advanced cancer. You must feel so superior in your bust active life. I'll stick with my blessings for now.

I went to his thread and spent over a hour reading Thur it. I learned some things i didn't know and got some up dates on others I was already aware of.

I am sorry for your troubles, Oscar. I didn't know your husband was ill. We should, none of us, judge others on superficial impressions. I apologise sincerely for my harsh feelings about you. Thank you Pam, that's very gracious of you. He was given 9 months to live two years ago. He had radical surgery to remove cancer from his prostate, bowel, bladder, uretha, lympth nodes etc etc. He had a wonderfull surgeon who got it out but there is a 75% chance it will come back as you can't garuntee cell level. His bloods have been abnormal for some months now. His immune system is rubbish of course, so he is prone to infections and exhaustion as well as many sleepless nights from aches and pains. I don't like to go out as much as i did if he's off colour and it's why we missed the meet as he had a chest infection.

Still....... every day as it comes is a new day :-6:-6:-6

my ole man has been going 'Follically challenged' since I met him when he was 16 and I was 12 when we married I was 15 and he was 19 , he already had such a receding challenged forehead that hair on top of his head was even in line with his ears. does that even make a lick of sense? The thing is it leaves an impression of control freakery which I can't say I see around me. The people who go on about political correctness have an agenda. I don't mind discussing it when it's at least based on an instance however unrepresentative the instance is but I can't do a lot about the undercurrent left by throw-away jibes masquerading as jokes.

He sure did jump on that post of yours . I have had as much of his brand of posting as I can stomach , but when he replied to you with that tone / attitude it blew me away. I almost felt like apologizing for his behavior on my thread. now I said almost . I did not give it ant serious thought . i guess it was more like ,I was embarrassed that someone had been treated like that on my thread. sort of in a very minor context of if a guest in your home was to be rudely treated by a neighbor across the french.

scholle-kid:spot is a walking devil's advocate (if you know the phrase). On almost any issue you'll find him putting an alternate point of view. I find it useful, because it draws attention to things that otherwise might be missed.

I don't mind the 'alternate point of view' or the talent he seems to have of making a ; statement on the blue sky' sound like the poster was really seeing a yellow sky' I have an uncle that will stick like glue an alternate point of view regaurdless the subject, as a matter of fact i use the blue vs yellow sky on him regular . It is all them words that get me tangled up. Even if I am darn sure of my stanse and know what my links and resorces are un shakable , I get rattled trying to decode all them words.

I don't mind which. Both are very informative.

Correct me where I'm wrong:

1) You believe that most of history is explained by conspiracies and secret societies.

2) You believe that the English don't speak English.

3) You believe that I think the English, or I myself, speak "original English" (I have no idea what that is. Anglo-Saxon would be my best guess).

4) You follow the teaching of a leader who has given you The Truth, and anything which contradicts the teachings of the Leader is wrong.

I do notice that you haven't answered any of my previous points, you've just dismissed them. Which makes me think you are not used to having your opinions questioned. Hey ho, I'm not your enemy.

Okay, now you pay close attention. When you say 'some people' I do not automatically assume you meant me. But you did offer the subject as part of your reply and I like to think that if I am going to take the time to reply to a post I take the time to reply to the whole post. And you will find that I do not as a rule gossip second guess or put words into others mouth. So in order to reply to your post I can only use what I think / feel or understand . I in no way insinuated that you force anything on anyone nor did I in any way immply that I thought or that you act like you know everything .

See if you can understand what I am going to say here and then I will not bother you anymore. and I promise that if I have a need for infomation of any kind I will do what research I need to do for what I need.

I was complementing your thread and the time you have spent building a collection of information on the different subjects and also I thanked you for sharing it by putting it on a public forum .( I did not use all those words when i complemented and thanked you but i am sure my meaning was clear enough.

It's hell here at the moment Danny thanks for asking. We actually have builders in. Today they have ripped out the boiler, all the pipe wpfk, radiators etc. I have had a new fire put in but that's only just got in and we've been able to warm up. Tonight, we will have no hot water or heat except fpr this fire. There are workman everywhere, the dogs keep getting under their feet, there's drilling and banging. Mr O tried to get some sleep this afternoon but it was impossible especially as htere's a workman in there as well. :wah: On top of that... there's three inches of snow outside.!!!

I'm the one who runs in this house..... I'll go running with you!!!!
