Bit of an over-reaction?

Post by G#Gill »

Unfortunately, Lars, it is quite a common occurrence for both a male and female adult together to abduct young children ! So that would not really be a safeguard from suspicion by police or anybody else.

I am sure that it is true. but a single adult being accused of something is all alone in the public eye, and I have seen careers and lives ruined by children with an overactive imagination. At least with two adults, there is someone on your side. And were she with me, my wife would beat me about the head and shoulders if I refused to stop and talk to the boys about why they were wandering about at that our in their jammies.

I don't give rides to other people's children. I'm not Michael Jackson. So that only leaves calling their mother myself or the police. I would have gotten the number from the kids, then called the mother first. If she didn't answer, I would have called the police next. That's what we do when a parent forgets to pick up their child at Night School, especially in the Winter.

Unfortunately, that's what our world has come down to. That is precisely why I would alert the police to the situation, and have them tend to the kiddies. I would not want harm to come to the youngsters of course. But instead of personally getting involved, it's better off if the professionals handle those types of situations.

Rightly or wrongly, if a man were to approach the boys, regardless of his intentions, he would be treated with more suspicion than a woman would. That is a fact of life.
