What is it in cat food that makes it so delicious to my daughter?

Is this why she has such shiny hair?

Cats are notoriously finicky eaters, so it stands to reason that a food designed for such a creature would appeal to anything cute, curious, and mischievous. Just keep an eye on her fingernails. If they show signs of becoming retractable, cut her off.

Has she started shedding yet?

That sounds delicious! Like deviled ham. It would have to be better than Libby's Potted Meat Product, an actual grocery item for human consumption. [smilie=3,21,27]

The new place. :wah:

I'm a tropical guy. I grew up in Louisiana, so I am most comfortable with heat & humidity. I've also lived in England (Swindon, Reading, & Newbury), Okinawa Japan, northern California, Utah, Nevada, upstate New York, and now Texas. All have their beauty. All have friendly people. All have good food. What more could one want?

Upstate New York is the only place I would not live in again, long-term. Way too much snow.

Before opening your "Ask" thread, I recommend a couple minutes of jump rope, a little shadow boxing, and watching an old Daffy Duck Robin Hood cartoon (duck! dodge! parry! spin!). That should get you ready for anything they might throw at you. :D

How did you propose to your wife?
I didn't. It was the strangest thing & we laugh about it still. We dated & grew together & loved & laughed ... before we were really conscious of it we were making plans of the future.

How many times have you been married?

Do you have any kids?

How many kids does LC have? (You're not allowed to ask her)

Have you ever broken any bones?

Following your fab writing regarding the hurricanes near you, did you ever go back and try to find what became of the people you befriended?

Would you ever consider publishing your experiences?

Will you ever write a book?

Have you ever had "the perfect job"?

How many jobs have you had?

Do you have a degree?

What in?

Have you ever written fiction?

Can you draw or paint?

Do you believe in God?

Do you believe in an afterlife?

Whom do you consider to be the worlds greatest artist?

Whom do you consider to be the worlds greatest composer?

What have you learnt from the Brits on Fg that you find most interesting or amusing?

Have you answered any of these questions before in this thread?

Will you answer them all now?

If you were to be transformed into another member of FG, who would you prefer it to be?

Thanks Acc. :-6

How many times have you been married?

One's plenty.

Do you have any kids?

Besides me? No.

How many kids does LC have? (You're not allowed to ask her)

2 or 3. It's not something I pay alot of attention to.

Have you ever broken any bones?

Collar bone when I was 6. Elbow when I was drunk.

Following your fab writing regarding the hurricanes near you, did you ever go back and try to find what became of the people you befriended?

Thank you. Everybody is moved out of the shelter as of 19th December. I called Desmond about a month after he left to make sure he was all right. He was settled with a sister in Plano.

I've run into two gentlemen I never mentioned in the thread that I'd met there. Both were in apartments here in town and still had no long-range plans. I miss Miss Ruby.

Would you ever consider publishing your experiences?

I think I'll have to, with as much encouragement as I've gotten. :yh_blush

Will you ever write a book?

I'd like to, if I could stay focused long enough.

Have you ever had "the perfect job"?

I taught leadership principles for 3 years while in the Air Force. I gave young supervisors the tools to become leaders. It was nirvana.

How many jobs have you had?

Three specialties while in the Air Force, one real job before, three after.

Do you have a degree?

What in?

Three Associate degrees, a Bachelors, and a Masters degree.

Have you ever written fiction?

Other than a couple of term papers :p

I wrote a short story in high school about a street kid adopted by Puritans & brought to the New World. It got an A. The teacher said I should write more.

Can you draw or paint?

I can make pottery bowls :o

Do you believe in God?

Absolutely

Do you believe in an afterlife?

Absolutely

Whom do you consider to be the worlds greatest artist?

I don't know. I appreciate beauty.

Whom do you consider to be the worlds greatest composer?

I like passion and power. I like expression from the depths and to the fullness of the soul. That kind of music that grabs me by the heart and lifts me off my feet and causes tears to flow. Whoever does that.

What have you learnt from the Brits on Fg that you find most interesting or amusing?

Brits have a thicker skin than Americans. They can recognize passion as passion and seldom mistake it for anger or a personal attack.

That gives more freedom to joke around

Have you answered any of these questions before in this thread?

Not that I recall.

Will you answer them all now?

Absolutely not. And you can't make me!

If you were to be transformed into another member of FG, who would you prefer it to be?

That's the question I won't answer. How could I choose among such rich choices: The simple strength of Far, the tender generosity of Bez, the wide-open heart that is Theia, the uplifting humor of Snooze, the motherly warmth and wisdom of Chonsi, Arnold as steady as the stone he works, the fierce loyalty of BabyRider, LadyCop, NV, or BTS, .... and then what would the Garden do without me? :-6
