A Book I'm Working On.

I'm in a very long, drawn out process of writing another book, my second, if it ever sees the light of day. The first one I wrote was an autobiography, which I ended up self-publishing. The one I'm working on now is fiction, a romance, which I started in Oct. '99. The other night I finished a dream sequence segment, which comes to around 14,600 words. It took me 1 1/2 years to write that part, so it's an accomplishment that I've finally gotten it done. The entire manuscript now comes to around 27,300 words. Gee, just think! Only 47,000 more words to go before it will be even minimally acceptable to publishers!

Keep working on it, Kumin! It takes a long time, a lot of love, but you will finally finish it one day!

There is a saying that there is a book in all of us and yet another saying about most of us dying without reaching our true fulfillment. Write your book the way you want and in your own time. Only then will you be happy with it.

Remember publishers get sent hundreds of books from new authors daily and also J.K.Rowling was rejected quite a few times before Harry Potter saw the light of day! If its the best you can make it there's surely less chance of it being rejected through not being properly thought out or well put together.
