According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Brown has been arrested 19 times on numerous charges, including stalking, aggravated assault, drugs, robbery, burglary and traffic offenses.
Can he not be tried as a habitual offender?

This is not the first time he has taken her
If I were the mother, I'd feel forced to take the law into my own hands and make sure it was the last.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Thanksgiving Day Amber Alert was canceled when a man with a history of violence brought his 7-month-old daughter to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Emily Brown's mother claims the man, Abraham Brown, 34, arrived at her Arlington apartment Wednesday night carrying a Bible and asking to see the baby. Before she could call police, she said Brown knocked down a glass door, took Emily and drove off.

Emily was returned safety about 2 p.m. -- 18 hours after she was taken -- and reunited with her mother. Brown was arrested.

"Abraham loves his daughter, he really does, and all he was trying to do was see her," Brown's fiancée, Quandra Williams, said.

Emily's mother, Elizabeth Jackson, obtained an injunction earlier this year barring Brown from coming near her residence or his daughter.

"This is not the first time he has taken her," Jackson said at a midday news conference asking for the public's help finding the girl.

According to police, Brown has been arrested 19 times on numerous charges, including stalking, aggravated assault, drugs, robbery, burglary and traffic offenses.

Brown said he had not seen his daughter for four months and was desperate to see her.

"I love my daughter and you know I would do anything in the world for her," Brown said as he was walked to jail in handcuffs. "And I'm going to see her, no matter what."

Here's the thing. In a way, I can understand why he did it. Is he so much of a danger that he couldn't have supervised visitation? If he poses that much of a risk, why is he out walking around? He did the right thing turning hisself in and the baby is fine. The love of a parent is not a crime.

no, but kidnapping is. he needed to go through the proper channels to get visitation, and looking at his record i can see why it was denied.

Even with a spotless record, the proper channels don't always work. If he had tried, I don't know whether he did or not, he may have felt forced to do it out of frustration.

It seems lately the whole world has gone mad. I don't know if years ago they just did not reporta lot of this or if there is that much more of it now, either way the courts sure don't show any teeth to strike some fear into these people !

When I hear the term "Habitual " with their description it tells me they are not interested in being rehabilitated and the courts are doing no more than slapping them on the hands and plea bargaining.

I was reading an article other day on the growing rise in slave trade of

white american girls and young woman for obviously outside our own borders, I wonder how many of the missing fall into that category... makes my skin

crawl in this day and age to know that it still is alive and well across the world and no one is safe from being the prey in the sex slave market... not kids, females, males regardless of color, race or ethnic group from the deviates out there. Best not to get into it my ideas to stop it tend to be a bit to radical for most... back on hold for tech support !
