Snow Day!
Snow Day!

What, minus 28? Well I do remember it was minus 31 once in Munich, but that was at the dead of night, in January. Minks, do you live in the Innuit Territory or on Ice Station Zebra? Come to think of it, the North of Scotland was pretty cold as well, no wonder they all went to Canada.

Crikey I live in the southern part of Canada, 3 hours north of the US Canada Border you would think we would not have such crap weather.... But also live right smack beside the mountains. Tuesday is suppose to be +2C

Sounds great. So when does it turn cold in Canada?

We have 20 degrees F right now and looks like a blizzard! Have the scanner on and roads are being shut down everywhere. Love the snow, but don't like driving in it! Will go for a hike tomorrow. Best time to enjoy all the fresh snow is after a big snowfall.

Whats 3 hours north? 200 Miles? I think your roads are better than ours so it may be further, crickey, that is a bit crap. Ah well, I'd love to go to Canada as well as the U.S.A., sooner rather than later, as I've put it off long enough, I love the idea of such a huge wilderness, (though I wouldn't want to actually live in the wilderness section of Canada, as I would quickly freeze or starve), I have friends near Vancouver, s'got a fairly good rep over here I must say. P.S. I keep meaning to ask you, but then forgetting, what is the craic with Quebec, is it still into being independent, do Canadians get worried over this, do Canadians worry about anything?, they seem such a happy bunch, well excpet for Neil Young, but he's a great musician so we can forgive his grumpyness!
BTW, we had that show "The Beachcomers" over here when I was a kid, that guy in the hat was a legend!

Ahahaha Galbally you are too cute. Ahhh friends in British Columbia, lovely I have family all throughout BC. I am the next province east, Alberta. We are vast, the entire UK fits 3 times into my province and we have 10 provinces and 3 territores, that is huge. Ohy ou would love our wilderness, no living in it just come camping.
Oh rikey Quebec wants to be independant always, the rest of us could give a rip. Let em go. They would shrivel up and die without the rest of us. They are the only province where French is mandatory and because of that.... we are bilingual HAH! what a joke, us westerners could care less about speaking French. So if Quebec goes Canada would just carry on like nothing happened. Worry what us worry ahahahaha we worry about things like our soft lumber, our fish and now our water. It is time to sell it to the USA before they come take it all hehehehe Joking.... Meh we don't worry over much. Ahhhhhh Neil Young love his work. Currently we are gearing up for an election a real case of voting for the lesser of the 2 evils it is kind of frightening as the 3rd most popular party in the nation could gain huge steps here and they are utter crap. I won't vote for them just for the sake of not allowing the libs or conservatives back in. Maybe an independant all womans party would be cool ahahahahaha

Thank you Minks for your lovely, and nonthreatening Canadian answers. You are a typical example of why Candians seem not to p*ss anyone (except your southern kin) off. But, what about the Beachcombers? Do you remember it, they were all into logging (of course) and there was an otter or beaver who kept causing mischief round the logging station wherever it was, and what was that guy in the hats name, I think it was Jesse, yeah Jesse from the Beachcombers, a legend. Oh and we had the "Kids from Degrasse St." I think that was canadian, but it was a bit too mature for me at the time, I was much more into mad Japanese cartoons where robots would turn into castles, and then the castles would have a fight, and everyone talked at 300 miles an hour cause it was Japanese, then they would have a sword fight, and sometimes dance in a sort of incoherent manner, but mostly shout and fight, brilliant..........erm, sorry I seem to have gone off the Canada topic, but I just realized that I want to visit Japan as well! :wah:
