What did you do for fun when you were teen?

Yeah, off his Bel Air estate. (or was it Beverly Hills?)

Oh, no way. I was living in Baldwin Park at the time. Us girls drove over for the fun of it. Picked up stuff from Frank Sinatra's house too...................

I love Corona del Mar the best.

Picked up pop bottles to pay for the gas for the car, 4 gallons would do 'ya.

Oh Cowboy, I had a karman ghia for a time. I would pretend we were running out of gas on the freeway, scare the girls in the car half to death, then flip that switch on the floor for the extra tank!:wah:

wow I don't remember an extra tank......:-3 lol

I remember the choke......I was always running out of gas on the freeway, it scares me to think about it now.....and all the people that we could stuff into it to go to a party or something. That little car would airborne on the freway...lol what color was yours, mine was a slate blue.

I bet you had an extra tank, there was a switch on the floor you had to turn.

My best car was a '64 Chevy Nova, that was chartreuse, with a deep green metalflake roof..........went cruising down Whittier boulevard, on the hot side......

I was going to ask you about Whittier blvd. but i figured it was far away, but whittier is long street.....

Did you ever get aressted on Whittier Blvd.? Did you go to Whittier?

I went to Whittier all the time. Went up and down the boulevard, cruising and playing the music nice and loud. If the boys chased us too much we lost them in the mall there, I used to (dangerously) go between the steel posts for the parking spaces then. I always ditched them.

Well, I never got arrested, but one time got mad at a guy I was dating, he was old enough to go in the bars there, and I wasn't. I went in once after him, and-uh-smashed the pool table up, think I tossed a few bad girls on it and I broke it, and went outside to pout. The place got busted, while I was sitting across the street pouting.

I think that is when I realized, when the adrenalin flows, you can do things you shouldn't. I have never had a fight again.

Boy, I miss that.

We had been there cruising around and they put up those road blocks so we went to a party in Fullerton but it was getting busted so we went back to Whittier to get hot fudge sundaes and my friends were putting on their shoes and we were kind of waving at the guys driving by,and a cop car pulled up.......they were on a quest to bust the females that night. :-2 i was a teen fugitive of the law at 17 1/2

Ha-ha, I went to CSUF, got one of my degrees there.

Cops cruise that area very heavily, college kids and all.

Favorite college there: Cal Poly, Pomona. Gosh, I love that school.

That would have been the "Quad" Hinshaws parking lot no? I had friends that got busted there when they would turn around to go back up the blvd. about two months before me.

What about "Turnbow canyon" did you ever drive up there to "make out"? lol

and the "urban legends" that took place? (that took place everywhere else to someone else's friend) LMAO

In my teen years, gosh we hung out in mobs at the hill and did a lot of toboggoning. The older boys from the high school would bring out their big tire tubes and then people were stacked onto the tubes. The bigger boys laid across the top of the tube and then the next smallest, smaller and tiniest. I was often picked up and literally tossed onto the top of the heap and then some of the other bigger boys would push this mass until it started to slide and off we would fly down the hill over the bumps and jumps laughing and screaming. Gawd it was fun. Yea often times us little kids went flying off the top but we didn't care too much it was fun.

Ummmm we would snitch the hidden keys from the houses that were newly built and sneak inside and hide out with friends and just shoot the breeze. We would sneak onto the indian reservation and build tree forts in the wooded areas. We would hang out around the resevoir along the banks and drink. We had an old abandoned farm house near by we would sit in it for hours and tell ghost stories.

Play football with the boys in the summer, play hockey with the boys in the winter.

Went through a phase of stealing sugar and saltpeter and make campfire bombs. (yeah smart eh).

Also we would set up our friends on either side of the street and when we saw cars coming we would jump to the curb and act like we were pulling a large rope up across the street, then run away when cars screeched to a stop thinking we really had a big long rope strung across the road.

All in fun.
