do you remember when?
I was a teenager in the 80's. I remember...
High heels with jeans.
Big, colorful earings.
Big clunky bracelets and bangle bracelets.
Shirts that tied on the side.
Hair teased up to enormous heights.
Cat eyes makeup with eyeliner.
Stocking socks with ruffles around the cuffs and heels.
Fishnet stockings.
Leopard skin outfits.
Denim jackets.
Leather jackets.
Shoes with long laces that tied up around the ankles.
Shirts that came up around the neck like a turtle neck, except that they were loose and not tight fitting. These shirts could be layered, too, for that colored look.
Knickers.
Flash Dance.
Colorful socks that were layered, so that there was maybe white, black and red sticking up over the bottom of my jeans.
Leg warmers.
"Walk Like An Egyptian."
Valley girls.
Thriller.
Loud Rock-N-Roll music.
Stop signs being stolen that kids would hang in their homes.
Old sneakers tied together and thrown up and over telephone wires.
Keg parties.
Having a white man's tee-shirt that my whole school signed and hanging it on the wall in my bedroom.
Owning a black tee-shirt that said, "Party Naked."
