No LC...it's not selfish. I feel the same way. Counting down the days until it's over. My first christmas alone too.

No, not selfish at all. There is so much emphasis on Christmas being a time to be with loved ones that if perchance we're not, then little wonder that we wish it over..

I won't be alone as such as I'll be with my sister and her family, although my children won't be there. Ive allowed the ex to have them for christmas day.

I can understand you wishing the time away, I can't wait until boxing day when I get to have my 'christmas' with them.

Not selfish, just sad. It should not be this way for you.

Life is what you make of it and you need to take back charge of yours.

LC, no, it's not selfish. Holidays bring out all kinds of feelings in people.

Last Christmas, I was alone. It wasn't too bad. I talked on the phone Christmas Eve, watched my Christmas lights, drank some eggnog, and ended up just going to sleep early.

There is always something you can do on Christmas Eve -- even if it's just popping your head next-door at your neighbors to wish them a Merry Christmas.

Sit down and plan some things out to do on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to help fill your time -- maybe, get some pre-made meals from the supermarket.

Christmas Day, I'm spending the day and eating next-door at an extended family memers' house. Maybe, on Christmas Eve, I'll stop over one or both of my brothers' houses, if they're going to be there. I don't know that yet.

Just make the most of what you have -- really, it'll be fine.

I'll be quarantined in the hospital because of high risk of infection, and I'll be on tons of morphine. So will my brother. We'll be alone too!

If you think of it one way, we'll all be alone together.

On Christmas Eve I'll think happy thoughts for all of you:-4

Nobody should ever be alone on Christmas... if I hear somebody's going to be alone I always invite them over to spend it with my family and myself. :D
i have never been alone on christmas before. my love is in england. last year i was in hospital. i just pray it will be over soon. is that selfish?
Do not feel like your all alone here! During this time

of year it can be the most joyous time of our llives and to others the saddest

most Depressing time in our lives. Take me for instance A Missionary Evangelist.

I have a very unique relationship with our LORD JESUS CHRIST THE MESSIAH.

We have been together ever since I can remember. 4-5yrs.old. But JESUS told me

that it was actually Trillions and Trillons and Trillions of years ago.(Now I'm just

going to leave it at that):)

Ms.LadyCop, you are never alone,I know it doesn't seem like it right now but once you start making JESUS NUMBER #1 in your life and not your husband or your

boyfriend you will know what I am talking about. Since the Creation of man, GOD'S Children, HE has always wanted to be a part of our immediate family. But very few people let him in. NOW WHEN I MEAN IMMEDIATE PART OF YOUR FAMILY,

I MEAN IMMEDIATE PART OF YOUR FAMILY, For instance when you are saved from

tripping and you have a whole tray of food in your hands and your seriving. But

from out of nowhere johnny Jr. Or little ms kath lou leaves a toy in a place where

it was not there a minute ago. This should have been one of worst disasters that

Christmas. But it wasn't. "JESUS GRABBED YOU" but insead of you saying THANK-YOU-JESUS, You say,"Oh my Goodness, do you see what almost happened to me.

I cannot believe I didn't fall down and waste anything??? Boy I'm sure "lucky",

well Ms.Lady Cop you have just given all the glory and the thanks to(I hope he's

not your friend) Lucifer,The Devil, Beezlebub, Levithian, Abbaddon,Appollyon,

Mr.Mephistopheles, SATAN. Somehow that sneaky son-of-Gun got his name into mans language(in all languages) Lucifer=Luc; he just took out the "ifer" and he

added an "K". Man did the rest, That''s where the "lucky" came in.

Now when you are as close to GOD and you have a very very very close

relationship with HIM well then GOD is "Going to Introduce you to the devil"

HE is going to say, "Ms.LadyCop" I want you to meet a "ONE TIME" VERY GOOD

FRIEND OF MINE Mr. Mephistopheles" and Mr. Mephistopheles is going to say,

Oohhhhhh,Yesssss I think I remember you, I was giving you a real hard time.

Oh yes, I remember now, it was in the ladies room, after you went in, I went in. I made myself look like "Brad Pitt" and "Uhhhnnn-Uhnnnn" we'd better not go there with this one.:yh_sungla > "You got it baby-->:yh_sungla well you better shut up because-GOD-is listening. Well So what, he knew what you were going to do way before you did it. So you'd had better let it all go and just confess everything, Just get that Big ol weight off your shoulders.

NOW YOU NEED TO PRACTICE THIS WITH ALL DILIGENSE, AND WHEN GOD KNOWS THAT YOU ARE TRYING WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND SOUL well then you will start

noticing things that will be happening in your life, AND THAT YOUNG LADY IS THE MOST AWESOME THING THAT YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE IN YOUR LIFE. You will indeed it, or should I say, ALL OF THE THINGS THAT GOD WILL MAKE SURE THAT YOU WILL KNOW IT IS HIM, Do not be embarrassed anything that you haven't

confessed yet, for we all have those secret ,Deeeepp Daaaarrrrrkk Secrets

that we all say "OH NO. I JUST CAN'T CONFESS THAT TO GOD, FOR SURE IF I

CONFESS THAT I WILL SURELY BE SENT TO LOWEST PARTS OF THE DUNGEON.

By this time GOD has enough and HE just swishes the devil on out of their presense. But Ms.Lady Cop, I have spent my last 3-4yrs all "by myself" as well

but the difference is is that I have JESUS AND HE IS REAL AND ALIVE. He just wants you to search for HIM because HE cannot and will not force you do to anything.

Oh, LC - I am so sorry that you feel so alone! I do understand though. This is the first Christmas in 9 years that I have had to do all the Christmas shopping without my DH and somehow it just isn't the same.

Traditionally, Christmas Eve is spent at my mom's with family. This year we have added Christmas dinner at my house so that I am surrounded with people. I am sure that my kids will love their loot and all will have a grand time, but I so want this holiday to be over.

You'll be fine LC.

At the ripe old age of 45½, I will wake up for the first time with no-one else in the house on a Christmas morning.

Think it's gonna feel a bit wierd even though it's no different to a normal day.

My daughter will be at her Moms and my son is all loved up in Norway

Could be worse - I could be on my Jack Jones all day - but fortunately I'll hook up with everyone at my Moms later. That reminds me, I must remember to tuck my shirt into my underpants before I go

LC...you'll be fine over Christmas....there will be so many hugs, kisses and warm wishes 'winging' their way to you from all over the US, Australia, and UK from your friends at FG, that your head will hurt ! :)

Surround yourself with your favourite things to eat, your fave DVDs (Christmas Carol) and all your piccies of Bothwell. Put the phone within easy reach....oh yeh...forgot the glass of wine (not too much though)....and mellow for the day. Pamper yourself...you deserve it and latch on to the fact that Bothwell will be there real soon.:-4

Let's pray for the folks in a lonely place who do not have a computer or a phone. Those who keep to them selves and are "invisible" to those of us who do have friends, families, and acquintances.

I, too, know what it's like to spend a Christmas alone. Do something for yourself that makes you smile, or do something for somebody else that makes that person smile....or both.:)

Annoy, Annoy, Annoy LC, well here it is Christmas Day, so Merry Christmas!!!!

We are getting ready to go to our Daughters house. Our Grandson is "2" years old, so he is really getting a kick out of all the toys & clothes he's getting. We were there last night, and gave him a few presents, like a "foot powered" Little Tykes car, that he has to stop like Fred Flinstone! He loves it, today we are giving him the rest of his presents like a miniature fish tank, that has "battery operated fish", that he should love. Cause he's fasinated by them and always watches the fish programs on TV. Well again, have a very Merry Christmas, & if you feel OK, why not consider going out to Christmas Dinner? (Annoy, Annoy, Annoy) :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS lady cop!!!
