Authorities search for two missing children

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has put out a nationwide alert for the two girls. If you see them, you are asked to call your local law enforcement agency immediately.

The TBI is currently searching for two missing girl from Cheatham County. Rachel Allyson Eden, 10, and Zeda Ashley Carter,15, vanished Wednesday morning and authorities fear they may be in danger.

Lt. Floyd Duncan of the Cheatham Co. Sheriff's Office says there had been no family problems with their guardians that might have caused the children to disappear.

"I called her on Christmas and everything seemed to be going fine. Then this morning, I wake up and I see that she has run away again," said MariAnna Deason, Missing Girl's Sister.

Authorities say that Zeda has run away before and are convinced the two left on their own. However, their foster family says they took no money, clothing or means of travel.

"There isn't any indication of foul play at this time, of course the longer they remain out there on the street unaccounted for, anything can happen and that is a fear also," said Lt. Duncan.

Perhaps the biggest fear is that Rachel has severe asthma and needs medical treatment on a daily basis.

"She might be all right for a little bit, but then eventually she could have a reaction that could be life-threatening to her without these medicines and the day to day regimen of treatment," said Lt. Duncan.

Rachel is 4' 11", weighs 104 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
