I will give it a try. Not real good at transfering stuff in here yet. Still can't get my picture small enough so the garden will download it for me to post. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to that.... LOL

I don't have a web host. I have been trying out micorosoft digital image program to see how it works. I am still looking for a really good but fairly easy editing program. I have arhived most of my 2005 pictures, but played around a little bit last night with some I still have loaded. I have the slide show in the msft program, but don't know how I would get it here.

Byt the way, I watched sailing and it was beautiful. I loved it. You are very talented. I just play around a bit here and there. But I do enjoy it very much. I just want to be able to do more without having to work so hard at it. LOL

Heres one of the problems I am having. 1.) I take a picture with my digital camera, load into my microsoft digital image program. Then when I try to upload them into the forum I get a message that says they are bigger than what is aloud. I try to resize them through the msft image program and they always come out to small on the forum page. If I try a different choice, say web page medium, its still to small, if I go up a notch then its to large. I have also tried to custom set the pixels which only distorts the picture. What am I doing wrong? Thank you soooo much for your help six I really want to learn how to do this. Also how can I center a picture on the forum page as opposed to it being on one side or the other? Thank you so much, Mookey

Well, I have been working so hard on my pictures, I have not had time to visit the Forum... LOL I think I am understanding this a little better. Although when I pull down my Picture task bar, I don't have an option to resize the picture. Does that go with the Photoshop program, as I have not yet gotten to there yet. The other thing I am having a hard time understanding is the picture sizes ex: 300 x 300 etc. I don't know how to tell what size that means the pictures will be. There are many different sizes to choose from. One will be to small and one will be to large. Is there a cheat sheet on these somewhere? :wah:

I went to our local park yesterday and took some wonderful pictures of the river, which is over flowing due to 35 days of straight hard rain. I got some beautiful pictures. It was fun to come home and play with them on the computer. I hope to show them to you along with some pictures of the capital dome with the rainbow over it. I just wish I could take better pictures of the baby and the grandkids that would turn out better. Hope all is well and will keep you posted. Stayed up until 1:30 am playing last night. How funnnnnn!

Hey Ian what photoshop program are you talking about. There are several. Microsoft, etc. I have done a trial run on several of them and they all seem to be about the same, but some harder than others. I am still having trouble downsizing them to get them in here. Still working at it though. Its harder than I thought it would be, but I am learning more and more each day.

Hey six, I thought you got lost somewhere... LOL actually I haven't been here to much myself. I have been busy too. I finally bought the Adobe PhotoShop Elements 4, and I am getting ready to learn how to use it. I went to the book store and bought a tutorial book that has a CD lesson plan. I haven't started yet, but am getting excited about it. I sent a picture I took of a rainbow over our state capital building to King 5 news as they show photos of interest pertaining to the weather. My picture was chosen to be shown. I was soooo proud of myself. It really did turn out pretty. Anyway, I will be a pro like you soon I hope when it comes to photography. I could really learn to like this hobby alot if I had more time on my hands.. Raising my 1 year old grandaughter doesn't leave me alot... (of time that is) Ha Ha... Well hope to see more of you....
