Any opinions on Osamas latest communication?
He seems to have claimed that security precautions were overcome "in Europe's capital cities".....I'm assuming he's talking about London, but do you think he's also claiming to have something to do with the uprisings and city burnings in France?

I know my opinion on this is going to send some members off the deep end (maybe), but I heard a translator on the radio, and Osama's sentiments came accross like current Democratic talking-points; how if John Kerry had won the election, we wouldn't be in this war, how the majority of Americans don't support the war, and so on. Am I calling Democrats terrorists? Absolutely not. On the contrary, I think Osama is crafty enough of an enemy to hijack some of the Democrat talking-points that he has surely heard braodcast by the American mainstream media. Just a thought.

I think you are exactly right, I started to type something to that effect when starting this thread, but considered it might come off the wrong way.
I think they definitely monitor the slanted media and are aware of the war in America right now. They're probably laughing in their caves when they hear Congressman turning on our president.

Osama is just one in a long line of terrorists that have attacked europes cities. It's very hard to stop terrorists who are determined to cause destruction, it's also easy to credit them with more power and influence than they actually have. Why anyone would think the riots in paris have anything to do with Osama completely escapes me.

At least one of his messages just before the presidential election had a lot of phrases from the dems' playbook. Some said it was because he wanted Gore to win because Gore was weak. Others said it was because he wanted us to think he wanted Gore and therefore vote for Bush, whom he really wanted.

Bin Laden said he was directing his message to the American people after polls showed that "an overwhelming majority of you want the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq but (Bush) opposed that desire."
He said insurgents were winning the conflict in Iraq and warned that security measures in the West and the United States could not prevent attacks there.
"The proof of that is the explosions you have seen in the capitals of European nations," he said "The delay in similar operations happening in America has not been because of failure to break through your security measures. The operations are under preparation and you will see them in your homes the minute they are through (with preparations), with God's permission."
The al-Qaida leader did not spell out conditions for a truce.
"We do not mind offering you a long-term truce with fair conditions that we adhere to," he said. "We are a nation that God has forbidden to lie and cheat. So both sides can enjoy security and stability under this truce so we can build Iraq and Afghanistan, which have been destroyed in this war.
"There is no shame in this solution, which prevents the wasting of billions of dollars that have gone to those with influence and merchants of war in America," he said.
It is not the first time bin Laden has offered a truce. In April 2004, in a videotape released a few weeks after train bombings killed 191 people in Madrid, he promised European nations that al-Qaida would "stop operations against any state which vows to stop attacking Muslims or interfere in their affairs."
Just in case someone thinks truce is an option.

I just hope our warriors can find him so he can be brought to world justice before he kicks off from natural causes. His case would be one where I'd support bringing back public hangings. I'd like to see him, and other similarly situated criminals against humanity, dancing at the end of some good, strong hemp.

I was thinking more in terms of the fiber used to make rope. With all our advances, maybe we should use climber's rope (synthetic) instead. Maybe the color red to honor the blood shed by the innocent September 11th victims. Better yet, have some specially made with red, white and blue fibers woven together. Oh yea... that's motivating.
