Yes I have. It's a really pretty place. The ski area is huge. I'm not sure about the amount of blacks or anything cause I was still a green skier when I skied there. The town is really nice with lots to see. So hope you sight see too.

Oh yea the year we went there it snowed over a foot of snow every night, so there was always fresh powder.

Sounds great Sheryll !! The brochure said it's a neat western town, and I'll look forward to exploring it. Staying at Ptarmigan Inn, at the base of Mt Werner. I'm not after double black runs... or anything very extreme. I love snow. I love the feel of it, the smell of it.. the silence of it. Haven't skied New England, LC, but only just not. I got stuck in Kingston, NY this time last year and did think of ploughing a local slope or two. Know what you mean about the ice though. Aussie skiing has lots of that, so we get used to it. Loved the powder at Breck. And the little cat tracks at Vail. That's almost cross country - a meditation in itself without another soul in sight. There's one nice run at Perisher Blue here which is styled green, I think, but watch out at 4pm as it's the way back to the resorts and narrow, and ices up a treat . kamikaze pilots everywhere... Called Copperhead Road - and as I was running this morning that song came on.... so got me thinking... gosh I gotta get back to digging out my ski stuff.

Awesome LC. Thanks! I have to go and pick up my tickets and ski vouchers today or tomorrow. They should probably give me maps, but if not, I'll download some. I collect ski trail maps... a small eccentricity.. grin.

Thanks Carla!! Gosh you know - it is totally surreal sorting through my sweaters, digging out winter jarmies, when it's 100 degrees outside and the sweat is dripping into my eyes. Grin. But then I guess life is surreal - this morning's newspaper devoted several inches on the second page to a learned research article on earwax!! Go figger!
