ACC or FAR - SURVEY PLEASE

I choose you because both of you have expressed level (most of the time) and HONEST thoughts on most threads so...

Will you set up a survey please for the following question?

How many of you believe that in the next decade we (USA) will be attacked or see a WESTERN nation attacked from an Iranian or Syrian Nuke?

I am just curious as to how truly worried, really, anyone is about this?
You didn't make it easy, since you turned off your private message option, but here's what I think you were asking for:

What a depressing thread, Moverguy. Why not ask me? My teacher's aide is an ex-NSA operative.

last week, I told the kids in my class to get outside and get some sun. You know what they said? "We can't, a child molester will get us!"

How paranoid is that? Even though the incidence of abduction is at a ten year low, they are too scared to go out and play thanks to the fear-merchants of the media! My message is this: Life is risky, if you sit there worrying all day about nuclear war and you let it affect your life, the terrorists have just won without firing a shot.

You want something to worry about? Worry whether you'll make it out of the Walmart parking lot alive next Saturday!

In the old days, without medicine or science, life expectancy was short. Almost everything and anything could kill you. You think the people were sad? Not hardly! They danced and loved and LIVED!

So Moverguy...take off your radiation suit, open the door to your bomb shelter, walk up the steps, shout at the sky and go run through the sprinkler naked. Live life without fear!!!!:D

lol. That's much better. My mistake. I thought you were caught in the grips of paranoia. Something I can relate to since I grew up in the days of "duck and cover."

I actually had a nuclear phobia when I was young, most likely gained by having a teacher scream at me, "Duck and Cover!" as the air raid sirens howled and the lead shutters on the school slammed shut, leaving our room in total darkness.

I remember thinking as I crouched shivering under my desk listening to the sobbing of the young girls, "How will thin metal shutters stop a nuclear explosion?"

So if I misinterpreted your survey and assumed that you had the same phobia, I apologize!:o
