Diplomacy

It's not a strong suit with me. Especially not lately. Too much chaos and drama going on in my life. I have tried to express an opinion about some of the goings-on in our FG lately and I haven't come across the way I mean to. Jives has hit the nail on the head with what I've been trying to say and failing miserably at in the "post counts, fluff and gangs" thread. I am not by any means trying to belittle anyone for touting their post count. I am simply trying to say that to me, it's not an important thing. But it's only not important to me. If it's important to others, that's great, more power to you, enjoy, celebrate. I'm not by any stretch trying to make anyone else look foolish by voicing my opinion and I apologize to anyone who took it that way. With my hubby in pain in the hospital and the upcoming trial, I have found things have been put in perspective for me. Maybe I should have just left well enough alone about post numbers entirely. I just wanted to voice an opinion, not rag on anyone.

So, my diplomacy skills are lacking, always have been, but my heart is in the right place, please believe that. It's not a shot, it's not poking fun, it's merely an observation.

I'm not being a bitch for the sake of being a bitch. I'm just voicing an opinion. And now I'm repeating myself. I hate it when I do that. :-5

Diplomacy in the book: skill in handling affairs without arousing hostility -tact.

It is difficult to always be conversing within a community of familiar people without sometimes unknowingly ruffling somebody's composure. Due to the fact that some people can sometimes view the same comments with toatally different interpretations. Therefore, causing ruffled feathers between parties, without not even knowing it was being done by the other, & or intending for it to be done in the first place. :wah:

That's when Diplomacy sets in, as has happened in this thread. :yh_peace
