I tried to place a photo in the gallery, only to be told an error had occurred. Does this happen frequently? Can't see what I did wrong.

usually when you are told an error occurred, it will give some indication of what the error was. did it give any other information? try it again, and if you get the same error, cut and paste that into another message here.
