A remake I would like to see...

Post by valerie »

The new Poseidon Adventure is supposed to be released May 12.

I saw the first in the theater, I remember walking out thinking, that's weird,

my hands/forearms are really sore. Later realized it was from gripping the

armrests for 2 hours!!

:) Hi there.

I might be sticking my neck on the line but I would like to see a remake of A Clockwork Orange. I watched this the other day on TV and it's still as powerful a film now as it was back then.

The only person I can conceivably see in the title role of Alex, as played by Malcolm McDowell in the original, is the one & only ROBBIE WILLIAMS!

He has the look and the cheekiness to get away with Singing in the Rain while kicking someone while they're down. This film should be remade now as it would be so applicable to what is going on in the world.

Anyone care to comment? Please be kind, lol!

:) Hi Snooze

I appreciate that American audiences want big stars in their films but there have been singers that have made the transition to acting. Try and see one of Robbie's concerts and you will see what I mean about his cheekiness and the rappoport he has with his audience.

I mean everyone has to start somewhere and Robbie is one of the biggest draws in concerts nowadays. So his transition to acting would be a sure thing. Robbie was also touted as one of the contenders for the James Bond role too!

:) Now Snooze

Give Daniel Craig a chance. Everyone is dissing on him but I've seen the trailer and he looks really good in the film. Even Clive Owen says he will do well and the fact that he's a real actor will make it seem real!

We just saw the new Poseidon on PPV over the weekend. To be honest, I liked the original much better.

Sometimes in the newer movies, the glitz and special effects get in the way of the story. It is like the producers and directors want to outdo the original and each other as far as special effects go.
