As Ive lead my life I, like everyone else, have formed opinions that make up my belief system. #1 There are two kinds of people.

Those who have the capacity to feel for others.

Those who dont.

The trappings of this world are just an illusion.

People have the power.. when joined together, to affect outcomes.

Being able to reach out to others is proof that one is alive.. and has tremendous feeling.

We have a rare group of people here at the forum, who fall into the catagory of what Ive described above. My suggestion is lets do what members of prayer groups do. Lets agree that at a certain time... we all will focus on, and send uplifting energy to .... the member who needs us.

Tonite..... at lets say.........5pm I think thats 10pm for our friends in Europe..

The object of our energy, love, strength, and good wishes.. is mominiowa

Agreed? All you have to do for the lift list. Is post under members news. The name of the member and verify the time.

Example.... Weeder.... 9pm.

Fab idea! You'd need to work out the time zones as there's 3 hours time difference between West and East Coast USA. New York is 5 hours behind London GMT and San Francisco is 8 hours behind and for our Aussie friends I think Oz is 11 hours ahead and NZ is 12 hours ahead.

Also, could we also send mom $10 bucks each? I don't want anyone to feel they're being given charity and I don't want to read on anyone's toes, but I know some people here have sent money to others to help out and after reading of moms 4 hour journey to hospital and having to leave her kids behind and facing so much worry..... only to find the blasted machine was broken, was just heartbreaking. She is going through such emotional turbulence, on top of everything else, I just felt that if I could send her petrol (gas) money for that trip, it would be one less thing for her to worry about!

A fine idea. Here's the neat thing about this kind of thing for those that believe it's a waste of time:

* If you're right, at least you spent a minute or two thinking about a fine woman, which at the very least will make you feel better.

* If you're wrong, you've helped a woman who will take that help and multiply it tenfold in the way she impacts the lives of others.

Either way, it's worth doing. :yh_flower

Hi Weeder,

Sorry its so gaudy but this is the clearest I could find!

GMT is shown in white as midnight, so if you work out your time adding or subtracting the number of hours shown across the top of the map, then subtract another 2 as it'll be 10pm not midnight!

Hope that helps! :)

Can someone collect the money for mom? Does anyone live near her?

I love the way this forum pulls together for each other!

Big hugs to all you well-wishers! :D

If not I suppose I can just collect what you send and go to my bank and have it all converted and I can look after getting $$ to her.

Here we can just buy US Dollars in the Post Office and they don't charge you to convert the currency. So I could just go in and buy a ten dollar bill (or whatever)and post it to you. Could you pm me your address? or Mom's, if she doesn't mind?

Thanks Minksy hunny. :-6

hah paypal geeze who do you think I am *rolls eyes*

no we are using the minks honor system along with the US and Canada Postal service anyone wanting to donate can ask Weeder or Rapunzal or Me for my snail mail addy and I will look after getting funds to Monin. I will gather what I get and send it Via secure service and get it to her. Please don't send cash in the mail to me, can't guarantee some lacky discoveres a shiney 10 and swipes it. I will keep every one informed as to when their $$ arrives and when I send it. I would like to send it all out in one large lump so if anyone things of a good time frame then let's set up a "mail by" date.

I'm not that great on times... My midday (Eastern Standard Aussie Time) is US Central time 7pm, the previous day. US Pacific time 5pm. New York 8pm. That's as of now. I'm not sure when your clocks go forward. Ours would normally fall back this coming weekend (which means my midday is your 9pm yesterday central time etc) but because of the Commonwealth Games our clocks are remaining as they are for another week or so... but yours may change... GEESCH. And I'm blonde too.
