Hey Weeder

My mom gave me a plant today and I have no idea what it is. It has long green stalks with 6 to 8 inch green leaves. The leaves are shiny and come to a point. Do you have any idea off the top of your head, what kind of plant this is??

Try Spathiphyllum.. will have a nice creamy white flower on it at some

point if you're lucky... pretty healthy houseplant as those things go!!

water, needs to be kept quite damp. Loves to be given daily misting.

Thank you Valerie. I wasn't sure if it was this plant or another plant that bloomed. My mother recieved several from her coworkers when she was in hospital last fall.

It looks like a hastas to me, but don't take my word for anything. I'm not what you'd call the "green thumb" type.

Shes right... it is a spathafalum or Peace Lily. Very easy plant. High light. watch the watering or it will droop. It looks like it neede to be cleaned up and repotted. Sorry, I didnt see your request.

well OM i could not pick and choose what laws to enforce. here, 20 grams or less is misdemeanor possession, then there's the people who clearly are sellers, so it's intent to distribute. i smoked some dope in college, i don't buy the premise of "reefer madness", but if i frisk someone who is holding i must charge. and yes, many. i am more interested in crack however, and did very thorough searches of people. you know mj is supposed to be an innocent crime, but it still supports drug cartels.
