We have a neighbor who doesn't seem to "Shower" every day! She says that she has not perspired the day before, therefore she says she doesn't think she needs to take a Shower. (SHE NEEDS TO!!!:wah: )

So do/would you cheat, and sometimes skip the daily Shower?

Good lord man if you lived here you would perish due to the hard water and killer dry climate. You would need gallons of lotion.

Coming from a position of a person who has lived through 2 droughts, no,

I don't. And sometimes I shower but don't wash my hair. Saves on the

gas water heater bill, too.

My beloved aunt (rest her soul) years ago taught me about PTA baths.

(The first is Pits, I'll let you guys guess the rest!) If you scrub good,

you can get away without it.

And I never would take more than one a day, anyway. If I have a lot

of dirty yardwork or something to do, I stay in sweats until it's done and

then shower.

And during the worst of the droughts, Navy showers (sorry baby bro!)

are the way to go.

Conservation, people!!

For me the hand sanitizer works, (it's in a "pocket" size bottle, kept in my pocket) until I get to a sink where there's soap & water! And then scrub, scrub, scrub!:wah:

(And I buy the economy 40 oz refill bottle that I go through in about 2 months)

Sounds a lot like my routine valerie.

On Sunday I have a long luxurious hot pampering bath.

I wash my hair 2 or 3 times a week

If I don't have time for a bath or shower i have a 'strip wash'

Every morning.... hot bath.. But I am conservative with the water.. having also experienced droughts.. In Georgia I bathed in a Livestock Trough in the back yard. No indoor shower or tub... My last "Set" of in laws would visit us for 3 or 4 days and NEVER shower,,, I couldnt help imagining their underwear

it was disgusting.

Not sure whether you're joking or not, but this is pretty close to my own experiences.

In the winter it was too cold in the bathroom and my Mum used to bring in a tin bath in front of the fire for our baths...it's a very clear memory funnily enough.

On my two precious, beloved sacred days off from the insane assylum, I may skip a day. (As long as we're not going out) When I'm working, every day, although I may not wash my hair every time. It gets dried out and frizzy and beat up when I have to "do" my hair every day.

Nothing more relaxing than that evening soak in a hot tub. That's part of my daily routine. But if I am hot and sweaty, I take a shower instead.;)

I have heard of running water which comes out of taps... interesting idea!! Driest continent here. But Aussies don't let that get in the way of cleanliness which we know is next to godliness. When it does rain, we all strip off our clothes, yell hallelujah and go outside and scrub down. Works for me. :yh_smiley

No way----------I shower daily and sometimes two or three times per day.

I will shower sometime for reasons other than cleanliness, like just to freshen up or a real hot shower just to loosen up my muscles.

I have several methods of showering, actually 3 levels. If I wake up on a Sat morning and I have to got the the store because Im out of coffee Ill take a level 3 shower. Level 3 is a thorough rinse probably no soap, just a quickie to get me through the checkout line without stinking the joint up.

Level 2 is reserved for if I need to talk someone but its not a full blown shower, it might include but is not limited to shampoo, and a brief soaping but probably no exfoilating involved.

Level 1 is all the bells and whistles once in the am and once in the pm.

Hi Pam, personal jacizzi's are the best! :) "Public" jacizzi's is just like taking a bath with other people, not my cup of tea at all! And suprisingly, that "rubber duckie" sure gets around! :yh_bigsmi
