A Great Meal

Post by Lon »

My wife will not be home from New Zealand for another four weeks so I have been experimenting with some different recipes. Tonight I had Frenched Lamb Chops that I had marinated yesterday with orange juice, orange peel, soy sauce, sesame oil, crushed garlic and ginger. Baked in the oven for 25 min at 400 F. I served it up to myself with boiled white rice and fresh asparagus with cucumber and tomato salad on the side. Washed down with a Australian Yellow Tail Reserve 2004 Shiraz which I can buy cheaper here in California than I can in OZ.

What bugs me about cooking a good meal for yourself is the preparation time for this meal was about 2 hours (includes shopping) and I was through eating in about 20 minutes. Ah well----------still better than a Big Mac w/ firies.

If you were closer, I'd sure sample some of your meals. Plus, I'm a slow eater so your efforts will be worth more than 20 min.

Seriously, that sound very good!
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

I cook for 1 every day. It's tough! But I feel good, like I'm pampering myself! ;)

Sounds delicious!
