Hello all. My name is Lenard but I've adopted the screenname of Lennox (Len-ox) from an old nicknamed that I picked up in college. Yes, I'm a Louisiana resident that went to college and get this, I graduated. I am the youngest of and biggest of three children. I have 2 older sisters. I have a BA in Communications from the University of New Orleans. I am having problems finding gainful employment under the Bush presidency. All of the knowledge and talent in the world won't get you crap, but I digress. I'm a registered independent. I have several views on several things. I am a Renaissance Man and the "Angry Black Man of the New Millenium." I am not a racist or a seperatist. I am angry about the way things take place in this country and the way people hand certain events. I am open to all comments and all criticism. I am far from typical and will not hesitate to verbally draw and quarter anyone who I feel attacks me. With all of the serious stuff out of the way, I'm a big joker. I like Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Scrubs, and a bunch of other shows that will make me laugh. As I type this, I'm listening to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy playing in the next room. I love to smile and love to make others feel good. (The angry side doesn't come out unless provoked kinda like Bruce Banner.) I'm a vodka drinking, weight lifting, sarcastic, well-dressed (when necessary) good cooking, "Katrina Refugee" (I hate that term) with a great deal of intelligence. Well that's enough about me. I like having an idea of who I'm talking to - sometimes it takes a while to gather enough snippets for someone to become a better-known factor in a thread. I don't see that being an issue with you for long, Lennox. Welcome to the forum.

No, I'm not German. I'm a rarity. I'm most black with a bit of Native American and Irish thrown in. I joke around and tell those who don't know, I'm one of the "Black Irish"

What sprang to mind when I saw it was Thin Lizzy and the incomparable Phil Lynott. There was a band. Mind you, Guinness comes a good second.

Heya Lennox, cool intro. Ill look forward to talking with you. The angry black man part is what caught my eye.Id like to talk about that. Dont worry Im not a racist or seperatist either. Id just like to know whats behind that. I live in a pretty segregated town and I just dont get it. Id really like to see more blacks and whites talking. Its the only thing I can think of that breaks down the barriers. Anyway welcome, I hope to get into it with ya.

I'm not angry at any race. I'm bothered by the way things happen. I'm bothered by the fact that I'm smart as hell with a ridiculous amount of talent yet I can't get a job. I'm mad about gas prices. I use black as an adjective not race.
