Oh!!!! No, No, NOOO, Sheryl....you will absolutely LOVE this!!!!! What a great workout, a great way to learn how to defend yourself, a positively supreme boost to your self-confidence, I could go on and on. When you get to the point where you can flip your instructor over your shoulder as if he/she was a sack of feathers, you will feel like Superwoman!!! Don't go into this thinking like that...go into this thinking how strong and confident you'll be!!

Oh, I am so excited for you...I remember my first kick-boxing course. The adrenaline rush, the pure power....geeze, it was awesome. Sure, you'll be sore for a couple days, but it's that good kind of "I can do something other people can't" sort of feeling. You'll feel braver walking down the street, you'll find a new respect for yourself....I could go on and on...again. This is going to be one of the best things you've done for yourself. Take my word for it.

Hey, if you get as much out of this as I did, you'll want to work out. Between working out and the training, you drop pounds quick and it's nice to see results so immediate.

I smoked the whole time. From kickboxing, all through the several levels, into some martial arts, (instructors REALLY frowned on my smoking in those classes) and more elaborate self-defense classes. It takes your wind, that's for sure, and it's much easier to excel if you don't smoke, but I was determined and in a really foul mood for several years so I had the drive. It actually could help you quit smoking.
