A witch doctor from Basutoland went to England for a holiday. On his return home he called his brother witch doctors for a conference. He told them that he had been to England and that the witch doctors of England had it all over them. He said that he went to a place called Old Trafford in Manchester which was a big green field, good for cattle, with a long dark patch in the middle of it. At each end of the patch were three sticks.

After a while out came two men in black trousers, white coats and hats. Then came two men in white shirts, and carrying waddies. They placed themselves, one at each end of the patch, in front of the three little sticks, and in short time, eleven more men dressed in white like the last two scattered all around the green patch. One of them came over towards one of the men in black trousers, who threw him a small red ball. He then gave his trousers a hitch, turned and strode away, and away, turned again, rubbed the little red ball on his sleeve, and it rained!
