We have an officer assigned to our school, but since I am always in the classroom, I honestly hardly ever see him.

He must know where they hide the coffee and donuts.......................

I wonder how many teachers will threaten the kids with the cops. That is a pet peeve of mine.:-5 Teach them they are their friends instead of making them of afraid of them.

No Peg, no one threatens them with that-I should hope not!

They asigned a policeman to our school, I guess more of preventive measures of things in the neighborhood before and after school. He always knows what is going on, the gang activity, drugs, etc.

When I say I hardly see him, I've never had a reason to. Any thing that is minor discipline is taken care of in the classroom, or I usually send them to a counselor. I rarely send them to an administrator.

I am surprised not to see him in the hallway during class changes, teachers are always out there and watching the children. If ther are any fights, we usually stop them and send them to administrators. I've just never seen him in action, but he is a mine of information if you talk to him.
