I saw the principal today

I went to meet my new principal today, all dressed up in my bright lime green Capri slack and even louder shirt. Oh, she was very nice! She fixed all the mixed up teaching schedules we had been assigned, I will only have to teach one subject, 6th science this year! Yahoo! I had been assigned two subjects, and mixed teams, it was going to be very hard on me. And I don’t have to go to the week of math inservice! Another yahoo! And will she be strict on the kids-she’s a nun! My mouth dropped open when she told us-this is public school now. I thought, finally, some tough discipline on the youngsters! I was the happy girl today, and got to see my teacher friends and knew I was going to have nice teaching schedule for next year.

But summer still rules for one more month¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦

I'm so happy for you, must be such a relief!

The high school I walk by every morning had it's sign changed today,

new school year starts Aug. 28!! I don't know about you... but I think

everybody should get off 'till the day after Labor Day!!

And I agree with you Val, I don't think we should go back until the day after Labor Day, but we always start the week before that.

Chons, I'm glad you chose that green capri outfit instead of something more conservative. Good for you!

I'm happy you've still got one more month off. It must be nice, though, knowing that you're going back to a job that you love.

My husband was happy when I said there wouldn't be a week of math classes, and no nurse that week.:-6
