Problems with posting a photo

I want to post a set of photos. I have started trying with the first photo and I have reduced the image to 87K. But the forum increases the image to 280K making it too large for my purposes. I use photobucket for my photos. This is so frustrating.

Any suggestions, please?

Right, I have just tried with a second photo. But the forum is repeating the first photo. This is driving me nuts. Why should a different link come up with the first photo at the first link?

CRACKED IT.

I had to shut down and reopen the photo-hosting site.
