Slim Whitman

Post by Issie »

My parents constantly played records of Slim Whitman from the 50`s onwards.

I took them to a couple of his concerts here in the UK and have the memory of meeting this tall guy dressed as a cowboy backstage for a few minutes.

Both my parents have passed away now, but I often play the old 78 records.

My question is....

Is Slim still alive.? How old is he.?

The last I heard he was living on his ranch, I think in Jacksonville?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, I have a lot of fond memories that bring my parents "back to life".

Thank you x
