Post by chrisb84uk »

:) Hello all, yes this is no illusion, I have finally returned after what seems like an eternity. If you are wondering where little old me has been well I have had a lot of personal, family reasons that I needed to get straight, and it was very important to deal with these. I hope you will forgive me for not wanting to go into any detail on these, I'm sure you will all understand! :)

Anyhow, I've just finished my month long holiday as well, (got back on Friday night,) though that was two holidays over the month, not one 30 day hahaha. Been up North to Chester for a week, and just finished touring London again for the last 2 weeks, which has all been great fun with the family.

I hope everyone has been keeping well, and look forward to catching up with you all, just please be gentle I am still very tired and sore from a LOT of walking!! :D

Thanks Rapunzel.

Hahaha well I don't know about all the details but I'm happy to answer what questions I can, but please no bright light, my poor tired eyes couldn't take it hehehe.

As to your questions. Nope no giant elephants this time. No we didn't go up the Eye because my mum has a fear of heights and my dad really wasn' too keen on the idea either. Lost in TS, no can't say we did, but it was full of people as you would expect, we were lucky enough not to get lost once even on the tube journeys, which for us is a miracle hahaha.

And did it rain?! come on now this is the UK, of course it rained hahaha, and sadly I'm talking about the heavy stuff and on quite a few days as well which was a shame.

Hahaha no no nothing like that (you and your imagination!! :p )

I'm fine, just tired and have very sore legs from doing so much walking. I tell you, we must have visited so many museums in London, and if you have ever been to them, they are HUGE!! So every night I would just flop onto my bed, and not be able to get back up again hehehe.

So what did you get up to with the girls during that day, everything interesting?? do tell all!! :D

Hiya Pam, thank you for the welcome back, and yes all problems are resolved thanks.

Hehehe oh you lucky devil, skiing again!! One of these days I must have a go. I only remember going ice skating once and that most of that time was spent looking up at the ceiling hehehe.

And a massage you say, oh how nice, I bet that would cure the pain in no time!! :D :wah:

A good massage can work wonders, Chris!! I do loads of walking. Pounding city pavements is one of the toughest tests! Check you have good supporting shoes. Do some stretches afterwards, hammies and quads and lower back stuff. A nice spa bath is good too. Ahhhhhhh decadent thoughts. I lined you up the gentle little masseuse - FG does have another, but I warn you, she's not for the faint hearted.. grin.

Oh, I like your sig line about the chemicals. I'm teaching science this year, I think I might snitch that for a class motto.....................

Interesting thought, Chonsi. And why does it make me think of catalysts??? This is not my area of expertise... grin... but aren't catalysts substances that cause other substances to react but themselves remain unchanged?? I was thrown out of the chemistry lab fairly early on (bad habit of mixing everything left over after the day's experiments... BANG) but vaguely remember a few things. Hey I'm in a wandering vague bit of outer space right now. Gonna go hit the hay.

Why thank you, but I can't take the credit, someone (I think it was Bez,) gave me a website that had good quotes and I took that one as it seemed a good one.

Can't say I really enjoyed Science at school, as that was always my worst subject. Make sure to do lots of experiements if you can, kids love them to bits, and they were the only interesting part of Science lessons.

I lived around the Chester area. One area I lived was called "Blacon" which is a rough housing area of Chester, boy I was glad when I moved out of that one. I was living with my ex-partner at the time and his parents. They ended up moving to Elton (Chester) which isn't that far from Ellesmere Port, I don't know if they're still there though.

Thank you Helefra. :)

Well we were only there for a week but I really liked Chester, (though in truth we didn't see that much of it.)
