What is your favorite scent?

Post by CheshireCat »

After someone complementing me on smelling good, (that's a compliment after working with dogs all day) i was wondering what scent ya'll prefer. On yourself and the opposite sex.

Every day scent for me is Red Door, it's Halston for hte little black dress. On men I like Halston 1-12 and Dakar.

Good question!

For men, I think you mean Drakkar Noir? If so, I love that on my hubby, along with Polo Ralph Lauren (I know, I know, it's very common, but I do love it!)

I wear either Angel by Thierry Mugler, Opium by Yves St. Laurent, sugar vanilla body spray, or my husband's cologne -- I love to have his smell all around me :)

Zinky - I just looked at your profile pic and am weak at the knees.. WOW :-4 !!! As fer perfume - I don't use much and don't use it often. Two main ones. YSL Opium, and Bulgari Omnia. I once had an Avon perfume called midnight carnation or something like that - gorgeous. And then there was White Mink... Mmmmmmmm... And of course ze Chanel No 5 (for ze nacked afternoon romps with one of my Brians ... Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.. .)

With perfume, subtlety rools OK!!!

(Opium isn't subtle of course :sneaky: )

You know, when I was younger, I knew this Sherrif's Deputy that worked security. I had a huge crush on him and had to give him hugs everytime I saw him. He smelled like lavander, very subtle. Very sexy!

A year or so ago, I stood behind a gorgeous Italian woman at the airport in Tirana, Albania. She smelled soooooo good! I tried to ask what scent she was using, but she spoke no English.

I SNIFFED and SMILED and said "BELLA, BELLA!"

She laughed and said a LOT of Italian words....but I understood "CLINIQUE," so, when I came home I went to the Clinique counter and told them my gorgeous Italian woman story.

They asked me to describe the scent and then they handed me a bottle of AROMATIQUE. I love it! And I always remember the tall, gorgeous Italian woman...

But, as you've said above....a little goes a long way.
My candle's burning at both ends, it will not last the night. But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends--It gives a lovely light!--Edna St. Vincent Millay

My 2 most loathed perfumes....Opium & White Musk....also Vanilla and anything fruity like Strawberries...I don't mind slightly citrus though.

I normally go for something like Musk or Sandalwood...

I've been looking for something very soft like 'Baby Powder' for years....any ideas ??

I only wear one or two perfumes these days, Wendy. They kind of become part of your you-ness. Mostly Opium in winter and Bulgari Omnia in summer. But I do very fondly remember White Linen. Maybe I'll put that on my Christmas wish list.
