Does it really matter if Jives posts? He's posting nice stuff and the forum's here for everyone.

Who are the banned and who are the trolls? I can't identify them.

The angry member had reason to be angry - but that was one days worth of posts!

But the vile crap wasn't posted by the regulars here, was it? Wasn't the offense committed by a drive-by poster who probably won't stick around once the "fun" is gone? Why would Val leave FG and all the friends who defended her? In my line of work I get cussed out a thousand times a day and I've been on forums where I've been cursed and degraded:wah: maybe that explains why I can't fully understand Val leaving. I think I could understand if FG regulars were dumping on her, but unless I missed something, I thought it was just invaders.

Val is gone???? I just heard the news, why...:-1 :-1 This isn't right period I want ADMIN to get this figured out. For one if JIVES is banned why is he back??? not fair to others who have been banned and can't come back.

Why was the 3 day fight allowed to go on for 3 days it was awful and nasty from the beginning.

What the heck is going on in the GARDEN this is not right I have my shovel and rake in hand to defend VAL and the GARDEN TO THE DEATH..:-5

My understanding from val was that she sincerely wanted to know if BDS was Jives. She wanted the truth more than she cared about being right. That is noble.

Jives came here to clear up the facts. If he hadn't there would always have been doubt. He came back knowing that he would subject himself to another round of Jives bashing (such as this thread) but felt really bad that someone else was being mistreated because of him. That is noble.

If Val is gone I hope it is just because she is taking a break. Jives didn't start the debacle, and he has nothing to do with the situation except taking pity on BDS. I am glad he stuck out his neck to clear up the confusion. I also hope val realises that everyone here has had at least one embarassing moment and comes back soon.

like I mentioned before,I picked up on a sudden surge of negativity.I can't say for sure if it's directly related too the vast number of new people but it is uncanny how it all came together.I would be great too get too the level headed posts that i came too know here when i joined.

I agree with Koan. I want Val to come back too. But, in the short time I have been coming here, I have seen several folks..including Nomad, step back to take a breather and then return all refreshed,

I am very upset that this malevolent person would belittle Val in such a way, as to call her unintellegent, and such.

Lets not deal with this in a, should I say, such a savage way..I know I started the savagery, but we need to deal with this in a mature manner. Name calling and such brings us down to their level(wait I called them malevolent shhh). They're obviously getting a kick out of it. I'm not saying I'm not going to stand up for Val, b/c I will. Gosh, I've obviously been more out of it than I realised. I must say when I first read the BDS thing, I laughed. Thought it was great. Then I had a little nagging doubt - I mean Guys how many literate blokes do we have in here with big family problems they've solved amazingly while holding down fantastic jobs and pretty much saving the world at the same time? But BDS's writing was in a different style altogether... almost self-deprecating, clever and funny too. I totally missed whatever it was that must have happened next ?????????????????

Jives is responsible for our current lack of trust. Very sad. I guess once bitten, twice shy.

Then lots of other folk came in here all at once and I have been chatting with a few of them, all pleasant enough. I do hope that none of them attacked Val. Eloise seemed the only nasty one, and man that's an understatement. I avoided her. What happened?????? Val is a long term, much loved and valued member here. And part of the family. Lemme at anyone who's given her grief!!!! Val - get your stylish patootie back in here pronto.

a few things: jives has never been banned. period. never. he has exited when convenient for him - case in point of course when his egregious fiction about being a former bandmember of the Gin Blossoms was outed, at which point he tucked in his tail, stuck his thumb in his mouth, and stayed silent for some six weeks, while his friends tried vainly to defend him - he left them twisting in the wind. yes, he did *finally* admit it, then turned right round and started posting his idiotic aesopian moral fables; the irony would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. "i have this thing called a conscience". uh, yeah, right jives. anyway - jives merely disappears for long stretches, while he thinks up new lies to try to get away with. but banned, no.

i can't speak for val, and if i did i'd be tasting hot lead tout de suite. but trust me on this: she just wants to take a break. the last several days have been very hard on both of us. since i'm a bitter, twisted, feckless, meanly vindictive hoarder of petty resentments - but fully medicated - it's just made me a little melancholy. i'll just verbally batter a few of my favorite punching bags, and all is better. val however isn't me (no *****!). val is a sensitive soul - look, she's a girly girl, and girly girls cry, okay? but there's far weightier things in the corporeal world for us to concern ourselves with; forumgarden is a diversion, the diversion turned unpleasant, so we step away for a bit. she'll be back, i'm sure. but give her some space. she appreciates the outpouring here, make no mistake. but she'd prefer just to have a little peace and quiet in her life, then in the garden, first.

As a relative "newbie," (on this board,) I'd like to offer an opinion.

It's very obvious that there are people here with agendas of their own. We just saw at least two (possibly four) of them, posting like the obvious trolls that they are. A couple have probably left and a couple more are still here, pretending to be "good guys." We'll see their agenda sometime in the future.

'Tis ever thus with TROLLS! :wah: How, you ask, do I know this? Because I've seen this sort of AMBUSH too many times not to recognize it again. Someone's a jerk...they're exposed, so they leave ("banning" isn't essential) and they begin to obsess about the board where they were "busted." They'll come back in other guises, sometimes with several "personalities," perhaps enlisting the aid of "friends." I've even seen them enlist the aid of people whose roles are to be their "antagonists," for the time being. Anything to stir the pot, hide their true identity and amuse their twisted personalities.

Valerie's no idiot and she knows that, if she stops posting here, the trolls have won.

Think about it, Valerie.

s brings me to, Tombstone. With all due respect. You are the owner, but that said, many people pay to use this forum, purely because it is worth paying for , and it brings a sense of belonging to many. myself included I have raised this in the past, and joined in other threads about it and regretably need to bring it to the fore again. IMHO, This forum needs moderator(s) someone has to be given a button.to remove an offending item, filth, and vile derogatory remarks.

I along with others were so incensed at what we had to witness, that I don't want another night like it.

I couldn't agree more. The garden is too big of a place for one person to handle 24/7. At one time, the garden did have moderators. It didn't work out so well; I understand that. I think it's time to try it again. Adults shouldn't have to be moderated, but then again, some people just never grow up.

Some are going to say, oh , it was just one night
One night is enough to lose a valuable member and keep a few others who could be valuable away.
