Is there (could there be?) a way to for the viewer to read threads using a

specified (by the viewer) font/size/colour?

There are contributors who insist, for some reason, on using absolutely batty

fonts/sizes/colours, and although they may well have valid points to make,

I'm not going to read their posts because it's a PITA to do so. It's a shame.

You can then just go "back" or actually reply...

Or you can just highlight it with your mouse...

Here's a thought, Bill. Download and install Firefox just for keeping ForumGarden open.

http://www.mozilla.com

It has Tool / Options / Content / Fonts and Colours

In there you can select, say, a gray background, black Arial override text on everything, minimum font size 12 point maximum font size 15 point.

You can use the Adblock extension to remove all flashing smilies, flashing avatars, header graphics, pare the view down to whatever's comfortable.

They're actually my settings for the entire Internet and it makes the whole world look like a placid environment - all the frenetic aspects have gone. As a way of seeing ForumGarden it seems close to what you're asking for.

I'm with Bill. I just think it is courteous to use a normal font size, the color doesn't really bother me. Seems a bit narcissistic to write in fonts like this while everyone else is writing like this. :-6

But everyone is only writing in the boring fonts like this because it's the default and they are too lazy to change it or they forget!!!!! :-6

OK I'l bite.Whereas this IS a forum which would indicate creativity and SHARING AND members ARE given the option not only of a list of fnts & colors...but HTML I am wondering how narcissicsim could enter as a topic associated w use of such?Hmmm.Endless individualized avatars, siggies, gifs both still and animated as well as .OMG varying opinions!?:) ok....I suggested several solutions for MR Bill.Kindly inquired as toHIS comfort level with doing HIS own research to censor my friendly fun creativity....pondering next step in progress...black & white avatars lest we digress and fall intopit of Vanity?uh sounds beyond Puritanistic & I'm NOT talking canola oil.He he

Gotta laugh.TRYING not to feel shunned.Certainly didn't expect to EVER be labeled DIS curteous(WELL known for kindness & patience) OR VAIN.Embellish a fence post,yes.Hardhearted....uh,huh uh.Respectfully beg to differ.

:lips: :lips: :lips: uh is this ok???

Don't take what I said personally Wendy. I'm just getting old and cranky. Would've never complained but someone brought it up and I threw in my $.02

For what it's worth, I don't like the huge sig pics either, even though they are very pretty. :-6

I just had an idea!! :yh_idea And yes, this has strained the blonde brain. I mean it's old hat in here now to jelly wrassle (even though some of the blokes like to watch that)..... Deliverance had Dueling Banjos. FG could have Dueling Fonts.. Or we could re-enact High Noon at FG Corral - fonts at twenty paces.
